Problems with dog ears

my dog hadreally nice half prick ears now one is rose ear and the other goes from thehalf prick to full prick has any one ever experience this is their any thing I cando to help I was planning to show but now its looking like that is not going tohappened this was a repet breeding and never happened before all the pupsalways have rose ears so I am a lil stun by the hole ordeal she is five monthsold do you think it will sort it self out any advice will help full

 

prick ears wont matter for show. lots of ch and gr chs with full prick.

 

i know it wont effect her working ability she is a good lil bull dog in the making but i still never experience this before all the dogs from the last liter are tested true bull dogs so we did a repeat breeding never really gad any issues with ears before minor flaws my dogs haveare mirror top line and bite issues

 

My dog had 1 rose ear and one half pricked up until 5 moths old, he is now 7 months old and both are rose

when i was a child i remember tales of show people bending the prick ear over and putting a clothes peg on it ,ps i am not saying that this is what i would do ! personally i would let the dog mature on it"s own .

 

prick ear is a minor flaw and wont matter much as i stated before. but if you hate it that much, like someone else that, a clothes line clip will clip the ear down.

 

I have another dog that had Nice ears and at about 9 months both ears went to Half Prick, I didnt like it But It has grown on Me, Since then she has gone on to Become an AADR show Champion at 15 months old, and waiting for her to Become fully mature to put her to work So the Ears really are not a big issue in the Show ring

 

imo a dog is what it is ,but some show folk are that fanatical that a little nip "n" tuck isn"t out of the question ,(sad bastards)

 

just the way the feel if they are up there healthyer happyer if they are sad

 

There is a member on here that has a wonderful looking dog with full prick's. My Sterlin boy had halph's. Did not catch an age of the dog, but that might matter too.

 

what can happend i i crop my doggs ears again and if i i dock a little of his tale its a pitbull and his tale is broken

 

my girl is still a pup 5months she has days where its roselike her other ear and then their is days where it goes from half prick to fullprick its really wired you know never experience this before

if both my dogs ears where half prick i would not have aproblem but try picturing one rose and one half prick or full prick not prettymy friend still it don’t effect her ability to perform but i just hope it fixesit self

 

my lil buddy went through some ear stages from the time i got him a 8 wks till now. if you just feel the need to have perfect then just crop them. but the rest is just up to nature.

 

Give it a little time as the pup is still in the teething period,which is possibly having an effect on the ears. Not saying they will eventually drop or look alike,but things may well change.
