Human Supplements!(GNC)

Are the supplements I take Protein,Glutamine,Ester-C,Fish oils,joint formula,etc....The same as what some of you guys give your dog? I was thinking about adding some supplement for my pup, but if the Human grade from GNC is Ok then I don't have to spend anymore cash.

 

If you are feeding the right food you don't need to supplement a dog. If you feel you need to supplement a dog then you should spend that extra money on PROPER feed!

Why would you waste your money at an overpriced GNC store? They are ridiculous with how much they charge.

 

A big bag of Puppy Chow and alot of love is all your dog needs.

 

I'd recommend something a bit better than Puppy Chow, but there is no need to over supplement your PUPPY with a bunch of supplements. No need whatsoever, especially, since (don't take offense) it doesn't sound like you know what supplements to use. You will run the risk of hurting kidneys or other organs by over supplementing.

not all supplements for humans are good for pitbulls

 

netrition.com is way cheaper. but like they said why bother.

 

I just feed Diamond and feed raw venison, chicken, beef pork, not to much pork, and fish oil. The chicken is free... The fish oil is from Wal Mart. Everyone around here that hits a deer calls me or brings it to me.

Human grade should be fine, although I agree that if you feed good kibble you should need a supplement.

WoW! You guy's got all that info on how I don't feed my dog good food because I asked if Supplements from GNC was ok instead of me? going out and spending extra cash! The reason why I want to give my pup extra vitamins is because I really haven't found a food he really likes and he is a picky eater! So, I know he is not getting the full nutritional value from his food because he doesn't eat the entire serving recommended. As for supplements I know whats good and not good for my pup! I just needed to know if human grade was ok!

Right now I am feeding him Dick Van Patten Natural balance! but I guess it taste like crap cause he doesn't eat much of it! but when I mix some of the food roll, he eats some of the kibble and pick the meat roll out! I did sampled Bil Jac Frozen food, but I was told it was junk! So...I'm guessing my pup is A Junkfood Junkie cause he loves that stuff! Right now I am trying to talk the feed store by my house to start carrying Canidae! he said he use to carry it, but it wasn't as popular as Diamond so he stopped. My question is the DVP food roll say's for treat, but the lady at Petco say's it's better to feed that instead of kibbles if I can afford it? What's up with that!

Give Canidae a shot... you shouldn't need to supplement anything with it.
