when do you feed your dogs

maint. feeding i feed early in the morning keeps them full and generally quiet during the day. i'm not home at night so they only get fed once a day.

in keep they eat after work.

I have two little pups with their mom Jessi. I love it most and i feed him trice a day and also fed their both child only milk and some nutrition.

 

feeding puppies three times a day - this is normal

 

i free feed my mutts (one 5 yr old apbt, two jrts, one 3 and one 10 yrs old). free feeding is the way to go, imo, if your dog won't gorge itself to the point of vomiting. we're also not feeding shit kibble, so that helps.

 

9 am in the morning and 12:pm at night. If you feed a quality food like Innova even once is fine.

 

I feed mine twice a day. Between 7-8am then around 5-6pm..im really thinking about going once a day.

summer time in the morning keeps them quiet en they stay out of the heat. winter time in the evening so they dont spend to mutch energy during the day!!. dogs in the winter with a emty stomage are quiet and curl up in there kennel to save energy.

 

i feed once daily. and fast once every other month. a dog in the wild will not eat every day. and the fasting to let need bacteria in the digestive system rebuild.

 

Used to feed once a day but about 6 mths ago changed to twice a day, prefer twice but would feed more often than that if it was practical.

feeding kibbles now, 2 times a day. in the morning i just give them 100 grams to keep them satisfied. in the evening or after work i give them more

when i feed raw 1 time a day in the eveving, to much fuzz to feed it twice, also the night is the perfect time to digest their food

another big advantedge is that they shit and piss most of what they ate in the morning, after that i go to work, so its not practical to feed them again in the morning

 

Yep, thats why I still do twice a day feedings instead of just one. Lily (and now that she's acclimated Scout too) gets the hunger pukes if she goes too long.

The key is to keep varying mealtimes so their systems don't automatically producing bile in anticipation of mealtime, I imagine that would actually be easier with once a day feedings.

 

Dependig on how old they are if there are adult size feed them every morning a small amount and every night a good amount of dry or raw feed. Keep water at all times. If your Hound doesnt eat the food within the first 5 minutes of you giving it to him, take it and do not feed him until next feed. So that they will be used to there schedule

(But there is a whole diffrent prespection when it comes to conditioning a dog)
