Anyone running NIGERINO blood?

lol ben dpont be sorry i have just heard about him being bred as an eli dog from a few people who knows if it true. and i know wat niggerino dogs look like they are either red black nose or black or buckskin black mask but like u said earlier. one shouldunderstand genetics. and this dog in question has a very possibility of throwing red red noses. just answer me this in all honesty why is it not posible for a dog like hard times to throw thos kind of dogs. hard times himself is not a pure nigerino dog not even close he is a niggerino/ bolero cross so and as stated before that dog also has bistol in him which is also a nigerino cross hard times is far from a pure nigerino dog , bolero is prety much an eli carver cross coming through pedro and snooty so these are the genes in hard times whoch the dog in question is linebred from the hardtimes blood so like i said before the genes are there is he bred that way mayb not but again it is highly possible especially if the bolero blood is more prepotent than nigerino blood. also if you look at miss bolero u can see sh pulls from that side of the ped

 

one more thing if you go back u will see there is a dog in the ped who goes back to indian vens who is a 100 percent pure ofrn dog through wises maximillion so with all thiese facts there if a huge huge possibility to throw that color the dog in question is far from a pure nigerino dog so knowing ewat nigerino dogs look like mean nothing because this dog aint one he has nigerino in his ped along with bommerang arts missy wises maximillion bolero etc etc so i dont claim to believe the ped i just believe in the possibility of the color

 

boze it's more then the color. theres guys feeding nigerino dogs and crosses in this thread who feel the same way. it's something you need to see for yourself to understand. if you have never worked with that stuff you just cant understand. i aint sure how long you been around for boze but once agin dogmen aint alter boys i dont give a dame how honest they claim to be.

 

Lets not forget that an outcross dog like the one being debated is not always going to show a single trait that you may want to see based on the small genetic contribution of Nigerino. Unless the breeder was breeding for color (and in this case I can see they were not) you would not see a single type of dog coming from the above outcross bred dog. If the Fat Bill supporters were to step up and say that the blacknose dogs peds were incorrect based on the fact that Runt is in the ped would it be foolish to disagree with them?

Again I repeat that I do not know if this ped is true or false but I as a breeder cannot discount the dog based on nose color alone.

Line bred on the Nigerino line for twenty years, never had a red nose pop up until we started inbreeding with Budweiser. If you look at his bottom side you will see some malony dogs with red nose. Here were thirty years into it. Man time gos by fast, and even faster the older you get.

I was thinking about that while reading this thread, & was wondering if someone would bring that up!
I remember it being a big internet debate at that time too!

Not sure why people feel the need to downgrade others dogs, & talk about what they don't know...especially when you can clearly see where traits may come from just by digging thru their ped, & especially when the dog isn't 100% Nigerino!

Way I see it is if you see something that raises your doubts, but you honestly don't know anything about that something first hand...then be respectful, bite your tongue, & move on...but that's just me, & "To each their own"!

 

I wanted to revive this thread because I'm planning on getting a pup from Cates after the summer and would like to hear some "testimonials"?
I'm either getting a pup from Jimmy x Vegas, or Jimmy x Red Velvet Kitty. I haven't decided because both would be fine with me.
Are there any new crosses that you've found to be promising? What's their people skills like? Are they calm/hyper that pure/tight? Put up pics if you've got them, and peds too. I've read all the other posts but they're from last year, so I wanted to see if there's anything new going on...

What's up with the Cassiusclay dog? He reminds me of a dog I met back in 1999 or 2000 in Idaho. He was the same size, same color, he was owned by a guy that basically opened my eyes to gamedogs- gave me Stratton books to read, etc.

no Im taliking about tequila I just think its funny when every one hears me say battle cross dogs and alot of the dogs I call battle cross yall are calling pureLOL then when I say there aint no pure line anything every one get all blown up. well sirs I just think my view of tight and battle cross and alot of yall is not the same,lol. And I run niggerino CROSS dogs I have not seen a real nigerino (Pure) in 15 years. I see alot of 8/10th blood but that 20% is a whole lot in the real world.I have seen a lot of 50% nigerino and less lately doing real good and it seems to me that blood is very strong. you can have a dog with 1/4 nigerino and most of mine have looked and acted like the nigerino dogs I seen years ago that were pure. The nigerino blood I think is one of the best crosses to use to add the grit and speed alot of the dog are loosing It seems to give them a shot of nitrous, the nigerino dogs I have seen were very fast and bit above avg. and most were good soild dogs.

 

I often laugh when i see the ad's posted as PURE redboy,eli,colby and etc. you are right J there are no PURE lines anymore and the more inbred they are the more unuseable they tend to become unless you enjoy admiring pedigrees. i saw SS when he was at yoho's.

 

Inbred being useless depends on where you getting them from, I know some of the best ones I seenwere inbred but their breeder also used a fine tooth comb to go over them..

 

I wasn't saying pure literally, more like just up close, 75%+ more like.

I wouldn't be worried about %'s. I would make it a point to know the parents and grandparents of the pup you intend on buying, and also the breeder of said pup. If you can't do that then ask someone who has delt with the breeder. Nigerino x Eli Eli/Snooty is what you want.JMO
