Antirabies

I was in the D.A. yesterday, they give free antirabies vaccines in our comunity. I told them that I give my dog a yearly antirabies shot, they told me that antirabies should be given "every six months"... I tought it is given anually. what is ur opinion bout this? should I give my dog I dose for every sixmos? tnx. peace

 

i think that's to much my friend . you need to read the label if you can . here in the US depends on where you live you can give it 1-3 years . and they have shots of only 1 year and another for the 3 year . so ask more and see what brand name an see if you can google it . if it doe's say on the bottle give once a year of every 3 . but you may have week medicine . good luck

 

Those shots really only need to be given once or twice in a lifetime, the law is dumb. Most places allow you to give a 3-year shot. Every 6 months is freaking dumb and tell the person who told you that, that he's a moron.

 

Out here it's one rabies shot the first year and a next shot 2 year's later and 3 year's after that.For a total of 3 shot's in 6 year's.

 

tnx. guys u've clear up my mind all this time I'm giving my dog anually. nway I don't y she said that. nway case of rabies in R.P. is very high but I think 1's a year is much safer. but six mos. is to much I think. nway if I'm not mistaken the brand name is rabisin.

 

yes sir. most of them don't know the proper dose, like my wife cozin if I remember it clearly my wife cozin has a native dog that is pregnant and the D.A. that are on field work insisted to inject the pregnant bitch so what happen the dog dies after being injected, do u think that rabies shot took the life of the pregnant bitch?

 

i didnt know that the Republic of the Philippines had rabies Joelkckit. i would of thought that you guys didnt have to worry about that stuff. i know Hawaii, Guam and many other pacific islands both micro and Polynesian islands dont have to worry about rabies because of the strict quarantine systems that are in place. you guys must have had an employ that was sleeping on the job and let a rabies case get in lol.... i would only do rabies shots like others have mentioned earlier in the post. it surprises me to here that you guys a having a epidemic of rabies over their. i looked it up and it says 600+ people a year are dying from rabies a year! thats crazy. you better take a shot yourself lol right along with the dog Just playing....

 

the problem sir here is that many dog owner specially the native don't have vaccines. some of them has but most of them don't receive anti rabies shots. plus most of the dumb owner let their dog on the streets. actually last time a native dog dash on my dog and my dog bit the neck of the native dog "the native almost break his neck hehehe", good thing my dog have anti rabies. its a battle in the street when u walk ur dog in here lots of native roaming around so i must be vigilant plus I walk my dog between 3:30a.m. to 6:00a.m. to avoid the native dogs. the gov. must have rules bout the dogs that roams in the streets they must put them in dog pound plus they become pest trashing the trash can, bringing diapers into your streets. I hate to say it but when it comes to dogs care most of the filipino don't know how to take care of their dogs.

 

also they have a funny or dumb understanding bout rabies. "not saying all filipinos" they think that a dog from birth has a already a rabies and the old ways of eliminating their rabies is by losing the tooth or canine teeth of the dog. they think that the rabies can be injected tru the teeth. I keep correcting them when I here that kind of stuff. rabies is dangerous. if u have open would it cud get there etc....

 

Actually sir if I'm not mistaken their a anti rabies shot already for people who is pre-expose to dog. to prevent them from having rabies. I'll try to find that magazine maybe I'll post it here. I cant explain it well. hehehe
