Puppy eaters

Discussion in 'Breeder Discussion' started by F.D., Nov 4, 2011.

  1. What's your point? No one is trying to "one-up" you. People are only voicing their views from their perspective, too which are relative to each individual; "to each his own".

Maybe you're just a little to sensitive for the board or maybe you're just a narcissus, I don't know but it sounds a bit to personal to me.

Let's get this straight.....I answered a specific part of an opinion you posted. As it turns out, not only did you not know what the hell you were talking about,....you didn't even know what the hell you were writing. Again, using words and ideas that you barely understand...you suggested that I hadn't read/understood what you mis-spoke in the first place.

Instead of getting upset and ignorant, I simply let you know how I understood the rambling, misworded bullshit you wrote.....again. I could have,.....and in hindsight should have, pointed out the above much more directly. After all, it seems that some folks just can't take a fuckin' hint gracefully.

You see, I try not to bring the language-police gig home on the weekends, and I appreciate when folks try to avail themselves of the words/ideas they have-------as long as they know what the hell they're talking about.

I find it much easier and much more enjoyable just to try to understand folks and to try to be clearly understood in turn. We all have our particular strengths and weaknesses,..........and as I suggested, you might have better luck communicating your knowledge and minimizing the blather in your posts if you would just get a damned dictionary and a slightly less assholish attitude,.....that's all. Nothing personal.

  3. Imo there is nothing wrong with hand raising a litter if the bitch is a pup eater then c Section the pups and put them on a willing bitch or bottle feed them yourself. The fact that a dog would eat her own offspring does not reflect on her temperament with children or people or her performance in the [ ], so it would only be to pure lazyness that someone would cut a perfectly good bitch who may produce super out of a breeding program. Hand feeding pups will allow them to bond with you and form a better human connection, also if this trait is a recessive gene and passes onto female offspring again their is nothing wrong with putting time into the pups to insure their survival. I have personally fed pups every 2 hours for a week and dabbed cotton wool in warm water onto them to make them excrete it is a tiresome job but can be well worth the effort.

Main point is: If eating pups does not effect behavior outside pregnancy, then there should be no reason to cut a bitch from a program unless you are lazy lol.

  4. Calm down.....breathe...in and out. This seems to be too much for you. Foul language is a sure sign of ignorance. You don't have to agree with what I say....it's OK....I understand your limitations. You just can't possibly know everything about everything....this you must accept and accept the fact that others have their own ideas that don't agree with yours. There, there now....it's going to be alright little one....now why don't you just go and run off and play and let the grown folk talk.

"Just because I'm wrong, it doesn't make you right....and just because I'm right it doesn't make you wrong."

    Now go play now.

  5. I will have to disagree solid1, laziness has nothing to do with removing a puppy eating gyp from ones program its a choose like culling human aggr., weak boan, 2 hour curs its all in what you want to pass on in your program, of its not the norm in your program and it doesn't inhance your program it must go............jmo

This is what comes of trying to be polite.....I knew it,......oh well,....at least I tried.
Hey, Harlem Brown,.....stop using not-so-big words you don't know the meanings to. You look like an idiot to those who do know what the not-so-big words mean..
If anyone should be running off and letting "grown folks" talk, it is you.
You don't know what you're saying.

Reading your bullshit is like watching Damon Wayans doing one of his Oswald Bates sketches on "In Living Color"....

I agree with most of what you say......bad mothers, especially chronic puppy-eaters, greatly reduce the success rates of even the best breeding programs. Reproductive issues seem to wreck lines/breeds faster than anything else.
I've heard, but I don't know for sure, that puppy eating isn't simply passed on mother to daughter,...but also though males from puppy-eating litters/dogs as well. So, you inbreed on that problem on both sides If you follow most modern systems. An occasional fluke, a stressed bitch, a too-old first time mother, an otherwise good mother dispatching an unhealthy litter, etc, is one thing. Breeding deeply ingrained-double-bred puppy-eaters........good luck to those with the time, knowledge, patience and money for it.

may be a good idea if you are breeding to produce brood dogs....if you are breeding for performance type dogs you raise the bitches too and see what you get....then make the choices on breed quality....US1

my grandfarther had a terrier bitch that eat her pups one time,he fed a plant that we call shepards needle. He always looked for a nutritional problem first in anything that was not the norm.

If you're willing to put up with the trouble keep breeding her and get the pups off asap. I'd quit breeding the bitch. You don't keep hunting a dog that doesn't want to catch why keep wasting time/resources on a bitch that doesn't want to have pups.
