he looks to still be intact so where did you rescue from? you wont be able to tell from pics but if you know the area where he is from you can research dogs around there and maybe get an idea of what he could be.. Doesnt really matter he looks like a great pet enjoy him. Good luck.

While certain lines of dogs do have certain characteristics....there's no way to tell that dog's bloodlines without knowing his origin/breeder. He's a pretty dog, hope you enjoy him.

His blood is whatever happens to be running through his veins, and you aren't a dogman or dawgman as you put it. Who cares what he is...you thought enough of him to "rescue" him so it really doesn't matter. He's a nice happy looking dog. best of luck with him.

More of a "dogman, dawgman" than u know. I've raised 31 pits, 15 coonhounds in my 32 years, but thanks for your kind words, and for his blood, no it's not important, but it would be pretty cool to know. I luv Chevy n he is a good dog. By the way he's a rednose.

  11. Just to put in my .02 cents, I've never heard a dog man call them a pity. Just sayin'. I could give 2 shits if you are or not, but no sense in pretending to be something you're not.

I appreciate everybodys comments,it doesn't bother me if u think I am or not. As far as me referring to them as pittys, it's a bama thing.

Sorry, its not a bama thing, there are plenty of real doggers in bama that don't use that pussified bullshit. You are no dogman, more like a furmommy and one thats so full of shit at that.

    I don't have anything to prove. I know I said pity n it's a bama
Thing. U know Alabama? That doesn't mean I am or not.

And as far as sissyfide if u realty knew me u would know I'm just the opposite. As far as me as gammey I'm proven, tried n tried again!

All that matters is if you like the dog or not.If he makes you happy then good for you and him both. There's no way to tell his pedigree by looking at him,you would have to talk to whoever made the breeding, and even then you would just be taking their word on it. As far as the terminology, You have to understand that when we hear the word "pitty" we think furmommy because that what we hear using it. I know different people from Alabama and they use the same terms the rest of us do, usually bulldog, pitbull,APBT if we really want to get technical about it.But I don't think "pitty is a regional thing really.Anyway call him a poodle for all I care, just enjoy your dog.

I agree, what started off as me just trying to say hello went south really quick. I guess I should've just typed pitbull, i didn't. Think about the way it would sound, I've just always loved these dogs. And I luv CHEVY. I guess I just let things get to me sometimes. I'm still a work in progress.
