Right now i give the dogs in training red mills xcell together with liquid amino acids for sportingdogs and they do good on it.
I've been looking at taste of the wild but the price differents is much compared with the states.
There a 30lbs bag would cost me 44,49 $ and over here the same bag cost 79,95$

Diamond naturals, for the price and quality it's hard to do better. And it is wheat, corn and soy free. Feed pups a little better but adults are on this only.

Feed raw 5 days a week once a day, weekends 2 times Orijen regional red for 3 months now. Alot of energy, good coat, good black-ish small hard stool, and most importantly no stanky windage xD

Question about protein. The diamond puppy formula for small breeds has 32% protein and 22% fat: http://www.diamondpet.com/products/diamond_naturals/puppies/dry_food/small_breed_puppy_formula/

That means it is very dense in nutrients. But nowhere in nature can you find anything that has a protein content at that level. Take a steak for example. It is 70% water, 10% or higher in fat, leaving a maximum protein level of 20%. Some people suggest that super high protein levels might be hard on the system.

In terms of money per pound of dense nutrition though, it appears that diamond is high quality. I haven't tried it, but might do so.

id reccomend it, and i would only supplement with the EA for adult dogs because it is so high, but i feed it straight when feeding young pups. i have a 5 month old here and once he finishes this bag of EA (approx. 3 weeks) hes switchen to checken in rice like the others are on.

Another good 1 at the same price...when I implement kibble in their diet I prefer this 1, & have fed this 1 for many years now, tried others from time to time, but always went back to this 1!!!

    Premium Chicken

Yes, this is quality kibble. I have a pup on this now and he is doing very well on it.

  18. Do you always feed raw? And how do you know how much or often to feed

TOTW has gone up a lot in the past year - I swear every time I buy it, it's $1 more than the last time. It's $46 or $47 around here now - it used to be $38 or $39 not that long ago : (

  20. I feed Orijen regional red and also the standard adult formula. Pricey, but he loves it, shiny coat, small stools, no issues at all.
