Any info on the highest prices paid for champion APBT dogs or their pups, both past and present, working and ADBA show dogs?

I was told from an old timer he got a BRAND NEW car out of a ch. bitch dog. This was in the 70's though but still thats alot of money.

 

£ 22.000 has been mentioned in England in recent times.

 

ricky jones sold 3 dogs 2ch & 2xer for 130,000 $ to some guys from yogoslavia. i forget witch dogs they were but shortly after the dogs got to eastern europe they were killed in the war.

 

Heard of someone importing a 6x few years ago for 15, got told by another person the figure was closer to 10 though.

 

if it is the same story I'm thinking of, wasn't one of those dogs are a gr. ch.?

 

Probably just a urban myth but I heard one of the first importers of APBT's to Australia made a million bucks selling pups, due to their popularity/notoriety.

think your right...ive had my bitches on axles for years now and have yet to see one deliver a new car....i think i need to make there houses out of trunks or something.... and make sure the car was a standard

 

yep, that's the one. Gr. Ch. Rebel's sampson and missy. The other dog was her brother, but the name eludes me right now. Both were ch.'s and sampson was a gr. ch. Gr. Ch. sampson is one of my favorite dogs of all time and, along side other greats like zebo, gambler's virgil, dbl gr. ch. lapsha, etc. he is my favorite dog. I think gr. ch. sampson was one of the gamest dog to ever look through the collar

 

That was, apparently, a tragic loss of talented dogs. Terrible story.

 

I heard Blackjack went for a pretty penny.

 

I think barracuda was sold or bought back for a pretty penny as well. I can't remember the exact figure but it was up there...

 

Back in 87 Ken of A-team bought a dog from Texas called Sparkomatic to go against Chicago's Jake for $10,000. Ken saw Jake beat Yankee Boys Whitehead at 51 and Jake went up to 54 lbs to beat Sparkomatic in around 3hrs.It was a classic

 

heard the Carolina kitten sold peaches for 30k to someone in Australia and this was in th 80's i think. also heard she wanted to buy her back but new owner wouldn't.

 

also didn't super kennels gave something like 20k for ch rose
