I know you said that you can't put him on a chain. But it all depends on how bad it is tp you. I personally HATE kennels. Unless its for a bitch in heat you don't want bread. But it comes down if you get caught with your dog on a chain at say 4 in the morning whats a little fine??? Not saying i condone breaking the law or am i giving any advice to. But that totally is your decision. But some times it's a matter of doing what YOU want to do.

Some dogs are just fucking nasty no matter what lol.... If you want to prevent accidents regularly you need to take them out frequently and keep them on a regular feeding schedule.

I understand perfectly what you wrote. I was just countering one extreme with another extreme. The fact is there is no ideal world, hence the inherent waste of time in entertaining the unrealistic possibility that if one dog is tidy so should another.

With respect to training, there are definitely regimentations that might mitigate your dirty dog's bad habits but as the "dog whiperer" says, it might also be possible that the specific dog you are dealing with might require a specific change on your part, a characteristic in your approach that your may not be willing to alter, or one that, given the routines of your life, will remain so, in effect perpetuating your dogs dirty behavior.

Who knows, its your dog, so you have more insight into this specific case than any generic advice anyone here may be able to provide, but the manner in which you presented your dilema made me suspect the problem had to do with your unrealistic desire for all of your dogs to be inherently anal retentive.

Not every place has just a fine. Some Animal Control officers will snatch up a dog if they see it on a chain, depending on where you live.
