Curious to know if anyone has any remedies for Spiders. I have been successful at eliminating fleas, tics, mosquitoes (to an extent), biting flies and pretty much any other pest we got around here but I can't seem to eliminate a spider issue. There are about 6 different species that plague my yard, none of which are poisonous. The Spiders are however getting on my nerves and even thought they aren't venomous I still don't want them biting the dogs. I already use Sleven dust in and around the dog houses and all over the ground in the chain spots, I use permithin (sp), and citronella. I use a product called Home Defense indoor/outdoor around the entire fenced in area the set ups are in as well as around the outside perimeter of the dog houses, last I spray the area with an insecticide that hooks on to a hose and you soak the area down. I don't want to use so much poison in my dogs area however with out it they would get eaten up in the spring, summer and fall around here.
I can't seem to keep the spiders in check though. I'm not too worried about it right now since winter is only a few weeks away here and everything will be gone for a few months but I'd like to be ready for when spring comes to really handle this issue and possibly use less poison around my dogs if that doable. Any help would be appreciated. I may just call an exterminator but I'd prefer to handle it myself.

I spray my whole yard with some stuff from TS...what I noticed is some spiders never come in contact with the area u spray. They always build the webs off the ground so u have to spray those directly..I dont think you can ever get rid of all them,I sprayed the inside of my house with the same stuff i did the yard with.I know it works i have found a couple dead spiders inside but they crossed the boundary that i sprayed and it killed them dead..so i know my spray is workin but thier is your problem ,some just never cross the area u sprayed..First time i sprayed this year I found 3 dead black widows within a week. But i got 4 or 5 diff types of spiders..hate every dam one to lol.

Demon WP. brush all the webs down and spray with demon they will not come back for 6 months. two times a year clean the kennels and houses. I got bit by one two years ago They said it was some recluse but not sure witch one. But I didnt fell it till like 5 am when I was drinking my Java. let me tell ya I can deal with pain I just kinda block it but this fucker bit me right on the shin bone half way up my shin that shit HURT!!! every time my hart beat I could feel it, after that shit two time a years I spray everything, I would be sooo pissed if one of my Girls got bit or one of my puppys. I still have a big old nasty hole scare on my shin from that lil basterd. and my doctor my cuzz we grew up together thought it was so funny squezzing the shit out of me to get the sack out. He also said that Pa was one of the worst states in the union for brown reclus bites he has ever seen, I guess he was in med school and seen alot of spider bites up there.

Them brown recluse are no joke, they'll leave you horribly scared. I haven't seen any of them around the area this year but them lil bastards are good at hiding. I just moved to a new yard about 4 months ago and have never seen such a spider problem before. The dogs area has total covering canopy from the perimeter trees and I think that's why the spiders are do bad here.. I think ill look for that stuff, 6 months coverage sounds real good.. I'd like to get to were in just using one product rather than 4 or 5. I've never had a problem as far as the dogs being around all those pesticides but I'd really like to cut do on the amount of poison I have to put in the area.
Thanks for all the help fellas. Ill try some of these and see how it goes.

They judge poision by levels like some will kill you by taste some buy a tea spoon and so on so the deamon is a wetable powder, so as it drys it will leave a powder look and as the insects crawl across it attatches and bla bla well a spider dont clean him self like a roach so he has to be sprayed or injest a insect to kill him. also watch the dogs that chew as it does leave a slight powder , It wont kill them Hell I have been using it for ever I used it for five years every day and never had a problem and no kennel that I treated with it ever said any bad things about it.
