I would put the points on there where it's needed on that day.
But guess I already won with my 10-5-10 ranking, lol.
3 points are still left ? Well, 3 points for beer to celebrate the win sounds good to me, lol. Better 2 for Scotch and 1 for beer.

 

Durablility is the ability to take damage. Some dogs are hardy and have dense bone while some of frail and easily have limbs broken or have their body broken down to where they are no longer capable of competing. And I don't think its often natural wind is the difference. The majority of matches are under an hour and feware over 2. 3 and 4 hour matches don't happen much anymore, dogs are a lot stronger and rougher these days. Wind is important in my opinion but it falls behind many other traits when I'm picking what's most important. What makes this fun is everyone has their own idea of what makes a good dog.

Thing that's kinda funny about this thread is one mans 8 could be another mans 3....just sayin, lol.

 

One way this thread could evolve would be to try to assign points to famous dogs.

 

over gameness if you don;t have wind it's over pretty much unless you can catch and crunch in short order . but when that 1 runs into a hog that can catch him and does and keeps him out well it's over again . conditioning is everthing and you can out condition them . you got a game 1 it's only yours to loose . the handler can make the best 1 loose if he does'nt know what he's doing .

 

Not a horrible idea, but how would one assign points to something they really don't understand or have never actually had first hand knowledge of? Like I said one mans 8 could be another's 3.....anyway who really gives a shit about a number someone posted online? At the end of the day your dogs speak louder than any post you make ever could. Just be true, and have fun.

Yea, it would be pretty speculative to try to rank the famous dogs in all the categories.

 

Sorry, trying to post with a tiny phone. And this after more whisky sampling.

But as a variation, maybe a list of dogs that have been a 5 in any given category. For example, since Chinaman is reputed to have had the cardiovascular

 

system of a greyhound, then he would be a 5, and benchmark fir that category.
