I love how those are bred... Should be some Bulldogs in the bunch...

I'm working with the Chinaman stuff since 2000

 

I've always liked the chinaman dogs but perferably without frisco. I never owned any but they sure are some good looking hounds.

i too never felt good about the frisco stuff. he was not that good a dog and no amount of rom points will change that imho.

have some good dogs come from that line sure, frisco had the right blood behind him and if that's strong enough a real dog man will often try it out to see how it works.

with that said i still wouldn't buy one without some serious credentials & vouching
on how he/she performed in the boar hunt

 

Was Frisco rubbed at one time as Vinnie R has stated before?
"I met Mike Williams a long time ago and helped him get into the dogs and brought him places with me introduced him to people and even helped him start his dog food business. All of which he ruined. China girl did quit on top in her old age with no teeth, which is no excuse which really surprised me as she took a big beating at Steve H's house earlier in life and showed very game.. About Frisco, we rolled him first in Oregon with K.Fee, R.Terry, was there and Terry's dog was in deep trouble in 15min and Frisco almost killed him..2 month later in Oregon we rolled him again and Gene P and Alex from Canada was there. Frisco hit the shoulder and in 7min they had to bury there dog.. About 1mo later we bumped him again. Like always he hit the shoulder then he went to the dick and flopped down like he was unconscious even though he always scratched hard. He showed no signs of quitting and he acted funny like this for the next couple of rolls. From my experience and from talking to old timers I believe he was rubbed the 1st time and he remembered it later. I wanted to see for sure if this was a rub, or if he was not a honest dog so after another 6mo in which time his brother Chinatom became a 2xw by beating a 5xw we tried to run Frisco off and used a big dog names Lever Red who was at least 12lbs bigger and rough with a very hard mouth and strong that had pulled the shoulders out of FB's dog in 12min..This was maybe the best roll I ever saw.. They hit stifle to stifle doing terrible damage and Greg T,Shaman, Mike W and me were there.. Greg said to me at 20min that we better pick up the big dog.. I said let it go, but shaman who worked on dogs medically as a ace said if we did not do it now it would be to late as Lever reds eyes were rolling up in his head and he was going into shock.. We had to put a IV in to save Lever Red.. Frisco scratched hard and true through out this roll and showed only game signs.. It was clear that he was rubbed before and that he was a real bulldog."

 

Dang...sounds like Frisco was a bulldog! If that is the truth...but who am I to judge. I never really liked Frisco dogs. I had a grand-daughter to gr ch ceasar. She was a good hound and her sister was even better

Few months back picked up my first dog with Frisco in it. A Tab/Frisco hound. I have never really given much weight to the claims that this line is better or worst compared to this or that line because in my opinion its at best speculation or someone's opinion based on limited experience and limited observations. Its like me saying I don't like turtlebuster dogs because of the few I've seen and owned. I used to say things like that but now I say I didn't like the ones ive seen or owned down from that stuff. But I bet you can find some aces somewhere coming down of that stuff or any line that's being bred right, worked right, and culled right with a lil luck. So for me a good dog is a good dog. Like what you will or dislike what you will but blanket statements don't change the fact that good dogs are where you find em. The lil Frisco/tab prospect is looking real good but some might argue that's the Tab blood. Lol Good luck with whatever you choose OP. And don't let others opinions steer you away from finding a good one regardless of the line as long as it is from a good honest source.

 

BTW since then I decided to try one more. So one of my partners and I picked up one of these ONLINE PEDIGREES :: [471740] :: *** UNO X CHINAMAN***

From a different source and bred a lil different but we will see.

 

...after the s-posed rub,,,did he work ok,,reason i ask..,,there was some kind a virus/bacteria...would make a dog fatiged/tire-out very quick...an can take a few months to run it's course.....can't think the name of it....???????........seen a champion race hound with it,,had to be kept kenneled on his own for months...but came, out off it....???

 

Frisco was tested very hard and showed to be a good dog.

I owned and sold a male off Frisco. Loco is his name Good game dog ! I regret that i sold him........

 

Not a fan of FRISCO dogs or evan TAB dogs for that matter,but as 305 stated "well said".
