so there shouldnt be anything wrong with her?

  4. Just stop picking the dog up by the neck. What drives you to do this? It's commonly referred to as "scruffing," and is a natural display of dominant position in many animals. Mothers will pick their young up by the neck and the pups will become limp and submissive. This, in-turn, CAN be used to establish dominance over your dog as the dog should naturally calm itself and submit to you while engaged in this action. This can also be done incorrectly and may lead to fear issues. I think it's fine to do with young (light weight) pups, but as pups age and become heavier it should be avoided. As the dog gets larger, it should not be lifted off the ground using only its neck scruff because the heavy weight of the rest of the body will cause excess strain on the loose skin and may be painful for the dog. In adult animals, this should only be done (gently) for training or restraint purposes. Additionally, if done with heavier animals, I would advise using your other hand or arm under the dogs loin to help support the weight and reduce pain or discomfort on the neck. But again....why are you picking the dog up by it's neck in the first place?

She probably whined because you were popping her. Boogie, get the plunger ready.

You must not have the motherly touch.

  9. The pup was probably whining out of FEAR from the imminent physical correction she knew she was about to get. Most people will verbally scold an animal (yell at her) prior to a physical correction ("popping her"). You probably did this. This verbal correction is heard, and registered as a threat, and the pup was probably fearful of you and whining, regardless of the scruff-grab.

  10. What's wrong with the pup? It's owned by a dumbass.

Sounds like she just doesn't like it. Different pups, different reactions. Doesn't sound like anything is wrong with her though.

For goodness sake Boogie, where you pick on as a child? Sometimes it seems you look for opportunities to bag on people!

You don't pop a 12 week old pup for peeing on the floor it's a pup it has no idea why it's getting hit. Get a crate take the pup out every 2-3 hours when you take it out the crate pick it up with both hands and take it right to the yard to use the bathroom after she has gone praise the pup give it a treat and bring it right back in and put it back in the crate. You need to do this repeatedly and continue until the pup is completely crate trained this takes time the older they get they have more control over their bladders, and bowels, and you won't need to take them out as frequently having fewer accidents in and out of the crate striking a pup for using the bathroom in the house will only make the pup fear you and will lead to more frquent accidents, don't scruff the pup pick the pup up with both of your hands. You want a scared ass pup with confidence issues hitting it is a sure way to loose trust and respect from your dog the puppy stages are crucial to forming that everlasting bond between you and this pup. If you care anything about this animal stop man handling it like that and use some common sense. There is nothing wrong with the pup it's you and you will need to make some changes and learn how to properly handle animals.

Got a solution for you that will stop the whining and pissing, take the dog outside.
Hope you're not still looking for that "game" dog. Keep up with the beating and one of those mofos will scratch back one day.

Get a friend to pick you up from the skin on your neck see if you hollar, that might be what's wrong with your pup.We have a neighbor that has a grown dog if he yell's at him he yelp's and pisses on him self my son say's he feel's sorry for him. If you want a dog scared shitless of you even when grown keep doing what your doing, back2basics is right you don't need a "game" dog.
