  1. My dog is itchy and has weird spots where her hair is standing up all over her back.. She also now has red lines on her inner back leg. I do not see any bugs. She doesn't want to be touched, has diarrhea and vomiting. I have the soonest vet:confused: appiontment availabe scheduled, but she is soo miserable I want to help her asap. I also do not know if I should quarantine her from my kids and furniture. I cannot figure out how to upload any photos from my cell phone. : (

  2. Could be something as simple as an allergy...

What do you feed your dog?

  4. We were feeding her pedigree, but I thought maybe she had an allergy to corn or wheat so we switched to natures recipe which is corn, wheat, and soy free. Changing foods did not help, neither did bathing her and keeping her out of the yard. (in case there was something in the yard triggering an allergy) She keeps getting worse and now is refusing food and water.

you could try giving her some benadryl for now until the vet that might help if its allergy related.

  9. We went to the vet today. She was having a severe allergic reaction and it triggered a bad case of demodectic (sp?) mange, hives, and her throat was red and rashy. The vet thinks it is from the pedigree dog food. She got a couple of shots and is already feeling a little better and has finally started drinking water again! : D we are supposed to try the food that we switched her to over the weekend, nature's recipe, and if she isn't better in 3 months then we are to start trying protein specific foods. Thanks so much for all your input!

How is your dog doing now

  15. Way better! It's like night and day! She isn't spending all day itching and sleeping, instead she is acting normally. She only has a few hives left instead of a body full of them. She however very full of dandruff and super stinky which the vet said would happen due to how bad her reaction was. It should get better in 3-6 months, and is not a huge deal.

The vet gave several shots to the dog one of them may have been predators. for scratching and chewing.
