Diesel v. Gasoline trucks

I was asked by someone, if gas is better why's all the army vehicles diesel, 2nd idk wtf kinda sports cars you'll are racing but ain't no way in hell yr programmed diesel truck gonna toast most sports cars, I had a 2.5 SER spec V Nissan and would murder my boys F250 along with all his diesel truck racin friends all days long, I'm talkin 0-80 in abt 6 sec n top out at arnd 145 ( this was a 4 banger ) that's a pos import not even a vet or commaro ls1 or mustang cobra, Maby In youlls truck realm you'll win but leave sports cars outta this one unless u got a drag truck

with a heavier truck yes you got more power . but in Europe you can feel the oily air . and here the hogs want come if you run a diesel running the trapps . I think it's the smell and the noise .

that's the thing with a diesel to me . why do I have a go buy a program . I know 1 reason and that's because a diesel without 1 is very slow . and with 1 they look pretty damn fast . I bet if you work on the gas truck it will move to .

 

the new diesel engines use dpf egr and urea injection to control emissions and are very clean. they are also making 400 hp and 800lbs tq right off the lot in 3/4 ton trucks from all of the big 3.

I build pulling engines for sled pull competitions for a living and those engines depending on the class restrictions are making 1200 hp in the limited turbo classes all the way to 2500 hp in the unlimited mod class.

that being said for a person that is not using the truck for very heavy hauling 10,000 plus the new gasoline trucks also get great fuel economy (20 plus) and use cheaper fuel and are cheaper to service. so what is better s determined by the end user
