Been away for bout ten years now, and a friend of mine gave me a 10 week old puppy from and good dogs that I had years ago. The problem is even though I had good dogs with good blood, he has bred them randomly throughout the last 10 years. He has gotten some good dogs from time to time and this last time I decided to get a female. She has shown some shyness at first but is coming along. I would love to keep my old lines but really want to tighten up on the blood. I need to know which lines would be good for me. My bitch is a large leggy pup (as was her ancestors), with good ability and good wind. I'm looking to add athleticism and a hard mouth and proven gameness. While on a tight budget. Is there any hour for a old newbie like me??

I was looking into the Tom Garner dogs but not sure how relevant they still are.

I got roots. But I've been out for do long that most of my dog friends are either out or gone. I just need to be directed to where some good dogs and good producing dogs/bloodlines are now.

Yeah I know. But it's worth it in the long run. I'd rather have a good dog. So it's anyone going hep me or not? At least point me in the right direction...

    Yes exactly what you said!

To the OP; you asked for help, and typed a bunch of words, but didn't really say anything. Except maybe you have been away longer than you think you have.

I had some Eli/ Bolio blood mainly which is where this pup came from. I liked those lines a lot, but it seemed like they took so long to mature and really get hot.But once I lost everything. I gave a dog to a friend who randomly bred her to any dog he thought "looked" good. So now I have a watered down dog that I want to tighten up. I also had some Gr. Ch. Buck/ boyles dogs who showed well and came out hot. What I would like to do is to infuse some fast lane blood with this pup and once I get the types I like then start line breeding. I know there are no short cuts, but at least if I start with some good lines from the gate it will lower the percentages of curs on my yard. I joined this forum to get some good info from men that might know more than me nowadays. I just want to know what is some good blood now, especially on the east coast. NY to NC.

I suggest "infusing" some real world experience and actual knowledge into your brain before considering a yard or breeding anything.

Wow!! I guess I came to the wrong place for actual knowledge. So I guess the whole blood line question is rubbing folks the wrong way in here. Thanks a lot, appreciate all the good info.

If I was serious about my time and money I would get a schooled out/proven dog and go from there. Starting with a watered down pup is the worst way to start anything but I don't know anything.

And I mean a proven brood bitch and back her up to a worthy stud.

  17. Use the search function type in those bloodlines you have already stated you had, there is plenty info on breeders and those using those bloodlines successfully no one is going to name names in this day and time my man do some leg work and get out to shows and the such I'm sure you will find what your looking for also if you want good or better your going to have to spend nothing if cheap nowadays you might get lucky and find something cheap but you normally get you what you pay so to speak.....

Ur fulla shit and apper to be digging for info about kennels or baiting to get others to incriminate themselfs. If u were out for a while u wouldent become dumb in that time and would know full n well where n how to get re started with some quality stock. The history appreciateing law following good folx on this bord won't know how to help you. You youreself said u have a watered down pup who is shy yadda yadda..Being out for a while wouldent make u ignorant to knowing this isn't a good place to start. Every herd of building a house on a week foundation. You knamed more than a few more than able lines. Sounds like you know exactly what you do and don't like or want. You are all around fishy
