Why the traditional game dog is dying in the US

some good points also though I think its ending quicker due to game dogs being bred out of existence pits no longer look or act the same as dogs in the days when my dad and his brothers had their yard. now you havehuge 140lbs dogs who are afraid of cats and upper middle class house wives using them as therapy dogs I love my pits but I know what they were bred for and how they act sure as hell not taking them in an old folks home

 

I find it funny that if you work for the Humane Society it make you an expert on all animals. and they try to dictate how you should Care for them. Humane Society can blow it out of there ASS. From there TV abs abused animals need your help for $19.00 a month they can fix EVERYTHING. That's a bunch of bull shit and you don't have to know anything about animals. They make false statements about pitdogs all the time.

The Game dog will always be around, maybe not in America where it should be. Look at China,Japan,Philipines and balkans they do it whit cajun rules and keepin it real.

Everything about the USA is dying, If you really want to be in the Game Dog game you will take your dogs and move out of the USA. Matching dogs is not that illegal in other countries. But most owners of "game" dogs in the USA today are dependent on Welfare, Foodstamps, Section 8 housing, Obama phones etc, so they cant leave, LOL that is the sort of thing that has helped kill game dogs in the US IMO it has led to the early demise, the fact that urban "gangsta" culture got involved with Game Dogs has helped kill it.

 

I think a lot of it has to do with people not being responsible for their dogs. A lot of drug bust that goes down there's dogs on the property and scarred up and chewed up and they find videos on dogs fighting. That brings the media in and MAKES HEADLINES on T.V and NEWS PAPERS.

 

You got to be the dumbest sumbitch here. Nobody has I knw that has good gamedogs is on any of that.

When people ask me what kind of dog I have I tell them a "good one".

 

I tend to tell people I have & keep "Traditional" or "Original" APBT. For the most part by throwing in the extra word or 2 people get interested enough to listen to the difference between what I have & what they KNOW as a "pitbull". I know it's more than likely falling on deaf ears, but I feel like running to change names or hiding the truth is more detrimental than confronting the problem and fighting the fight. We all have different ways to rep the breed, nothing wrong with that as long as it's positive.

 

Forgot to mention......for those red shirted bleeding hearts I can see coming from a mile away....I hit them with Pitterpat. Tell them it's a new terrier cross meant to deter small varmints like raccoons and stuff. We have them around here and these soft booties are scared to death of them.LMAO!

 

Just call them bull dogs that what the old heads called them bull dog hounds the real ones have prey drive like hounds. And game dogs will always be around you have ones who do it for the $$ and ones who do it for the love and some that do both but that's their business but the one that does it for the love will always have hounds till they get tired and even then they knew what they were doing and there circle knew it and the dogs are farmed out sometimes .
