One thing you might try other than trying to work the jaw/mouth muscles is encouragement, a dog loves to please esp these dogs, so words of encouragement as you work with them, and when they seem to be biting like you'd want them to lay it on thick so they know you like how/what they are doing. A little bit of praise can go a long way.

sit in front of the dog ....with a peace of rope ...
let him take a hold in the middle
now you go SLOWLY from the right to the left ...and from the left to the right .
good for your own shoulders to
the gym gratis lol THIS IS ONE .

Dog bites hard because he WANTS to. No need to over complicate things.

Spring Poles? lmao. Novices and youtube dogmen use springpoles. Any sporting dogman knows you condition dogs with a quality slatmill. Until you are using one correctly, you are still a novice dogman, with no purpose.

Yes, i fully expect a negative response after that comment.

Absolutly!!!. in a serius conditioning program there is only room for handwalking and tredmill ore jenny. al the other stuf are just stress relevers against kennels stress(chain syndrome) and stamina wreckers..

Mouth is the least importend thing wen fooling around with dogs. It can NOT be trained into a dog. and most dogs labeld as having a hard mouth are just dogs that work out there GOOD holds very wel. real hard mouth dogs wil show you wat a real hard mouth is without shaking.
last but not least hard mouthed dogs OFTHER bite hard in the beginning!!!!!!!. the jaw muscles are the shortest ones in a dog and TIRE out very quickly.
We have always prefeard dogs that keep there hold above hard mouthed dogs.. so in that case i go with the game dog....

Of course hard mouth dogs can be game, there's no correlation between mouth and gameness, Bad Rosemary is a perfect example of both.

chain syndrome can come from if you try put a dog who grow up in a sky kennel appartm.
    on a chain .
is also possible from garden kennel on to chain if nevr have seen a chain in thier life but les i think

  15. Bad Rosemary is a great example Dam.... Her mouth was tremendous . I don't think she could fight that well but most couldn't get by her mouth. But even with a mouth that literally would rip your chest open she still lost. Didn't see her lost to say if she was game but saw 3 out of 4 matches on DVD.

  17. I will have to try and find it thanks. From what I've seen she might kill her brother . Ch. LUTHER. Kinda becoming interested in the Boyles stuff.

Thick skin is a good thing too. And some bone structure. Again..a swim or some altitude adjustments have or climate change also can wipe out all of it..as we know..so there us no one thing better over the other.its personal opinion..which can vary depending non how much someone knows on conditioning. I have had great result using a dagone 21" bike my kid has outgrown. To say someone is a novice green useless dogger is a joke.
A mill would be nice..but I like to focus on what I can do with what I got...and I am happy with my accomplishments..

A dog that will stay in hold and is smart and game is hard to beat. A hard mouth can be taken away in many ways for example heat, conditioning, a smart dog can maneuver around and frustrate a hard biter, what kind of tarp is used can cause a dog to lose their footing. Some are complicating why/how a dog bites hard. They just do and some didn't feel the need till they felt they where in danger and the other dog pushed them harder. But give me a game dog that is smart and knows what they are there for anytime over just a hard biter . A hard bite will win you some and is nice to have if you have gameness and smarts with the bite then you have something special. Usually there is something missing that is why and ace is rare.

.and saw one ace after the other
getting ducked was more the problem then anyhting else lol
