The other night I got talking to a guy I see walking a big ole Stafford on the fields I shoot on.anyway we get talking about dog aggression from what I've read on here da is passed along from the sire and dam.but he was of the opinion that most staffs/pits wont want to fight until they get into a fight then they'll become da it sounded untrue to me so again I come here to ask the people who know more then I,can anyone share there opinions?

All dogs can show aggression and fight. To engage in a fight one must first WANT to get into a fight regardless of the reasons or situations. Once engaged in a fight there will most likely be two main responses, either continuation of fighting or (cease fighting) flight/flee. Mostly all dog breeds will show some type of aggression and fight over many different reasons including common ones like territory, mating rights, food, jealousy, or dislikes etc etc... but there is only a few breeds of dogs that will actually fight or keep fighting out of pure enjoyment and the APBT is hands down the number one breed of dog that enjoys it the most hence why some APBT's are willing to take there death for the sake of pure enjoyment. Its no different then thrill seekers risking there lives in doing something really dangerous for the sake of that enjoyment/thrill. skate boarders constantly break there bones yet they continue to skate because they enjoy it. There are some APBT's that wont know what they actually enjoy UNTIL that (enjoyment) opportunity presents itself whether it started from a accidental situation or on purpose. While on the OTHER HAND (which is a really big handful LOL) there will be some APBT's that will (automatically) instinctively know exactly what they enjoy from the get go as young as 6 weeks of age or younger as it will all depend on each INDIVIDUAL dog....Some answers are not strictly (yes or no) black or white as some of have there grey areas sort of like this one, but the main purpose or objective is too keep the answers as TRUTHFUL as possible so one can dispel them from the myths or majority of those ignorant/lying (sack of shits) animal rights activist LOL...I hope what I wrote can enlighten those to see the truth of the game bred APBT.

Like a famous saying that a APBT wont always start a fight but he will surely finish it. LOL

i have a staff and a pit , they are really different on the agression thing , the pit will need no trigger and go at anything , the staff isnt always looking for trouble :=)

I know so manny Staffs that never started a fight in their whole life and get along well with any other dog. Of course they would defend theirselves if being attacked though. In my youth i also worked in a german shelter for a few months and most were Bully-breeds. They always had two Dogs in a kennel without Problems. It was a german Shelter and in Germany kennel Dogs are almost never put down because they are able to Keep all of them. I know in the US they have to put Dogs down because there are so manny Dogs that cant be kept altogether. Some german Kennels even help out other european countries who cant Keep all the Dogs or have not enough Money to care for them.

Well I have saw real staffs not pets and I'm not saying yours are..I have saw the real deal and you had to keep them seperated and they were no better at being a pet than a gamebred APBT...and oh not only were they DA , thier was about as many HA ones as u would get in APBTs.But my point is DA is DA no matter if its a pit or staff or a jack russell ..Any breed can be DA so to me it looks the same ..It just means they will start a fight but it doesn't mean they will finish it which what game bred pits r gopd at doing..But it doesn't mean a APBT is anymore DA than a DA staff.
