love that first pic, theres a big difference between staffs then and now...

 

there are still some around like these, not enough sadly.

 

Were they even called staffords back in 1910?

Those are some great photos for sure.I do think you are starting to see a change for the better ,people always want to talk down on the BBs and show folks.The thing is we should spend more time focusing on the positive stuff that is happening and the good people out there attempting to breed dogs worthy of the breed.

 

errrr the picture on the left,im sure thats no where near 1910,i have it in my loft and ill dig it out,summit reminds me of some shots the my friend the late Mr Joe Graham had done,im sure its from the early 80's,bear with me guys and dont hang me !! my loft is stuffed with old dog bits from the early 80's so it might take some time.

Neither of those pics were from the eighties, the dogs look way too early to be 80's dogs, great pics though.
Correct me if I'm wrong....

 

im not querying the photo on the right,the photo on the left is the photo im querying,the photo dated 1910,im 99% certain it was taken in the derbyshire area in the 1980's and the dog used was a pitbull or pitbull/stafford cross,im nearly 50 now and havent taken these dogs to seriously for a long time but some thng is jogging the grey cells,give me a few days of sorting box's out and im sure ill find some news on this.

sorry it took a while,here you gou guys,as you can see there's 2 photo's,iv had them in my loft boxed up with untold stuff from the 80's




these were both taken in the 80's and made to look old,like much to do with these dogs myth can become fact,anyways back to the box they go.
