    What I don't get is there ain't any explanation as to why there just letting people cross the border illegally.
    I can get arrested for trespassing and I'm a citizen.

    I had a hold over in Israel during the Gulf War.

    As we were shooting down the scud missiles with the Patriots as an American soldier I was not allowed to pay for anything.

    Funny you travel to the other side of the world and the very first place you eat is MacDonald's. (Sad, I know) As we ordered a gentlemen stepped up and was really adamant about paying for our food. It seemed odd, but I knew I didn't understand a lot of cultures around the world, and I didn't want to offend anyone. Later that day we were in a bar, and we drank for free. That night we went to a really nice restaurant and again, some stranger would take the check. It was really weird.

    Then I transported to just outside Kuwait City. We didn't have much access off base, but the feeling was quite different.

    In one part of that world people were most appreciative of our presence and what seemed like just over the hill we were hated, both by the people we were killing but the people we were supposed to be helping. That was weird as well.

    Not that this old Chief was all that diplomatic nor politically correct, and he told me this in so many words. "These people have been fighting for a thousand years. The Russians came to Afghanistan for ten years with no rules. They used what ever means, both humane and inhumane, and after ten years pulled out and left. I'm not sure what our government thinks they can do over here other than change the price of gas'.

    That still fuels what little conspiracy theory I have in me.

    Ben the stats show that a majority of immigrants vote democrat in the first election they can vote in! The numbers of illegals here are much higher than being reported !it's all about democrats trying to remain in power!

    Can't agree with that. Dade county is literally the most international zip code. And it's red always has been since I can remember.
    Both parties ain't shit and they are controlled by corporations and elite donor's who spread money to both.
    Obama was democrat and he deported the highest number of illegals.

    I ain’t pro Jew but
    I bet these left wing sorts are up clsss whites who want immigration….yet choose to live in areas not affected by it. Soon change their tune if it was on their doorstep.
    Or you get upper class white students, the sons and daughters of the above. They don’t join gangs or get to experience estate vs estates like the working class kids growing up. Yet they still have that desire it seems of wanting to belong to something. Brainwashed by socialist far left teachers. Reality hits them when their meaningless degree in something like art doesn’t get them a well paying job. Next thing you know they’re professional protestors and everything’s the rich white man’s fault and the system.

    One thing I make sure I do is never hide my opinion. I get sick of hearing about the silent majority or being told you can’t say such n such these days. There isn’t a salary in the world you could offer me to keep my opinions quiet. Everyone I work with including those from abroad know my views. I’m happy to discuss them and happy to have mine changed or agree to disagree.

    Walking the dogs a few years back some woman thought it would make her look good to tell a few of us walking our dogs. That she was attending a refugees welcome here march. That we should be taking in more illegals. What made it worse is she wasn’t even from here ffs lol . Told her she’s got no right to be telling us what to do in our own home. Asked her how she’d feel if she invited me for dinner and I showed up and then demanded she gets some beers in for me as well. Turned a bit heated and ended up with me telling her if here is so bad she should fuck off home. Makes me laugh, they come from shitholes in search of a better life. Then seem to want to turn our country more like the shithole they’ve just came from.

    The biggest reason immigration is a hot topic for most is the jobs they are taking and the benefits they are absorbing.

    I get it.

    I grew up farming in rural NC and there were migrant workers who came thru during the tobacco season and in time a few stayed year around. My Pops was in the construction industry, pretty much every form from time to time. One of his contractors started hiring Mexicans in the 70's to lay shingles/do roofing work. In time thru sheer hard work and living a meager lifestyle now we have one black man in our area who still owns his own roofing company and no white men. It is a Mexican dominated industry.

    We were eating at a road side convenience store one day and this concrete contractor pulled up with a truck full of Mexicans. This was the early to mid-90's. Jake told him he had hired Mexicans to do roof work int he 70's and they priced him out of business. Within ten years the concrete work in our area was dominated by Mexican workers.

    I don't travel now like I once did, but when I do, I look for service and work trucks. Every trade is being dominated by Mexicans.

    The kicker is that they have now educated two generations of children, and these are the kids who are coupling hard work/work ethic with education.

    I'm just saying there is a much higher need to learn Spanish than Mandarin.

    White people and black people got away from working for a living, truly working for a living. We always cry about hours and pay and benefits. We always know why things suck and why we shouldn't have to do this or that. While we were crying, sitting around with the out thumbs up our ass, the Mexican work force multiplied, doing the very jobs we bitched about.

    Is there a percentage of Mexicans who have figured out our system and use it to their benefit? Absolutely. Did the overwhelming majority come here for that? Absolutely not. There are jobs here, there are always jobs here that the white and black folk don't want to do.

    Immigration will never stop as long as this side of the river has greener grass. Instead of passing laws, and protesting while earning a liberal arts degree, how about getting a frikkin' job? How about learning a trade? How about making a contribution?

    But with that said, immigrants are here, they will always be here, and they will always be coming here. With all the bitching, moaning and crying, the grass is still greener.

    Agreed but as long as the grass is greener they will continue to come. The shittier it gets somewhere else, the better it looks here, even if we have stayed the same or digressed. They are coming.

    I don't see it ever changing, wall or nor wall, with or without border measures.

    Remember when we said, "Say no to drugs" and the billions and billions spent to stop the importing/smuggling?

    When the grass is greener.....

    "If you build it, they will come".....

    But where did those billions of dollars acutally go because during that exact same time frame our own CIA was bringing in metric tons of cocaine to sell in order to buy guns to arm the Nicaraguan rebels off the books. It sure wasn't spent to prevent the drugs from coming into this country.

    I feel like sometime between now and August Biden will announce he isn't running again and Big Mike Obama will step in. That's the only hail Mary I can see happening to try and salvage the democrats chances. Other than the blatant election interference and cheating they do right in front of our faces of course.
    Assassination is still on the table too. They are not going to let Trump win. At least not fairly.
