Very sad video, since I've joined this site I've learned alot. I know someone right now with a pitbull pup that I am educating the best I can so his pup doesn't end up in a shelter or dead. I also am convincing him of neutering his pup because it's best for the dog. I hope ppl stop breeding animals for the wrong reason instead of trying to be rich off them.

I cried!!!But i'm sorry it makes me not want to help shelters because if they were gonna do that they may as well left them to fend for their own.You must be cold hearted to do that shit.

UMMMMMMMM..... Pretyfulpitbull- You missed the POINT. YOU(because you are a BYB) and people like you are the ones that are putting this breed in that position to be put down. It is a har djob but someone has to do it. It is becasue of BYB's that there are soooooooooo many pit bulls dying in shelters.

LOL . . . WHAT!?! It isn't their fault. They didn't breed or accidentally allow the dogs to breed. They are not the one's who put the pup/dog in a shitty home. They are just the one's who "clean up the mess." I think allowing the dogs to "fend for their own" would be more cruel than just euthanizing them (since they would probably just starve or something worse).

I worked at a vet office as a vet assistant and the Vet's would MAKE us sit there and hold the dog/cat while they euthanized it. I only had to do it one time and i couldnt look and i cussed out the vet at lunch break for making me do it. But alot of the girls did it at the vet and they would make them do it to and they would run out the room crying. So the people that do it have to its there job but it really takes effect on them.

I held a Rottie they didn't give enough to before. That was the last of that bottle and it was a temp so they had no idea where the other bottles were. He started having seazures and he was screaming. His screams echoed in the hallway and all the other dogs started howling. I held him for about 10 minutes like that while the vet was looking for more. I ended up giving him a full syringe of every bottle I could find and he died about a minute later. That is an experience I will never forget. Anyone who wants to breed their dogs for money needs to spend a day holding those dogs. They need to see something like that.

It's reqiured, part of the job. No one likes to euth animals....I'm glad tho that I can find peace in knowing that I was able to help afford that animal its diggnity and or end the suffering.

    I agree 100% PitBull30.

I have ppl who want to be breeders come to me from time to time asking for advice. Once of the first things I tell them is that before they do anything, to go volunteer at a shelter. Watch the mental suffering those animals go through as they jump up & rush to the front of their kennel each & every time the room door is opened, thinking their owner has come back for them. Then watch as depression sets in as they realize their owner is not coming back. Finally hold their head & comfort them while they get euthed for no other reasion than a home couldn't be found for them.

If they're lucky the animal will go quietly, but sometimes as you said PitBull30 things don't go as planned. The animal struggles, froths, strains & suffers, terrified. But eventually they die.

After they have mercifully passed away, stack their limp, lifeless bodies in the freezer like cordwood. The next day look into their glassy, dead eyes as you & the the shelter workers load a truck bed full of dead pets to be toted to the city dump to be disposed of like yesterday's garbage, or toss them into the incinerator to be burned up like a stack of old newspapers.

I think EVERY prospective breeder should experince that. A couple months of that will many times make one re-think their breeding plans, or at least steel their resolve to be a better, more responsible breeder.

I'm still crying. I had to put my Golden Retriever down (she was 15 and in BAAAD shape) a few years ago, but my brother went in with her. I knew it was fast, and to see it happen in the video really made me understand it.

The sad fact is, that no matter how sad this video is, it probably won't affect potential BYBs. They are in denial about the overpopulation issue and think that their puppies will all be in forever homes when they walk out the door. All they care about is the cash.

It is terrible to call shelter workers heartless. The heartless are those that take their dogs to shelters with lamo excuses. Of course, some shelter workers are heartless...
but the truly heartless throw their dogs out of speeding cars, on the freeway no less. Abandon them in the country to starve. And do much worse. In my humble opinion the most heartless are those that breed their unexceptional pets and sell them to any A$$ with some money or worse give them away to strangers. These poor dogs can get lucky in the lottery and go to loving homes, but most probably they are going to suffer "hell on earth".
Oh I can't even go on with this....I am so irritated...
(Good for you, pit bull 30. I hope you didn't do jail time for this, you should get a medal )
