I think people should keep their dogs on their damn property. That's what I think.

  3. i agree... If you arent watching your dogs then you deserve to loose them.

I can understand his feelings as for my beloved pug, Jordan, was atacked twice by my nieghbors pit. I think the dogs should be ascessed and go from there. The owners are definatly not doing a very good job containing the dogs, so they need to take action there also. That man should have smacked the hell out of him with that crutch!! I fell for everyone involved.

LMAO! Did you see the reporter "knock" on the door? Jeez, wonder why no one answered!
I would be pi$$ed if my pet was killed by my neighbor's dog and the dog kept showing up on my front porch.

I 'm pissed because people that are irresponsible give our dogs a bad name. I keep a good eye on my dogs and don't let them roam around. If people can't take care of their dogs and keep them where they belong, then they don't need dogs!

Hence why we need to police ourselves! There is no "all the pit bull owners should stick together & fight on the same side" b/c it's owners like this that are responsible for the deaths of tens of thousands of innocent pit bulls all across the country!

Personally, the dogs that are running loose--shoot 'em. Find their owners & charge them with whatever they can & rack up as much money in fines as possible. Let the owners of the attacked dogs (as long as the dogs were attacked when they were confined on their own property) sue the other owners. When people are forced to be held accountable for their actions, only then will things begin to change.

It's not the dogs' fault, the the blame lies solely on the owners. But these are the types of owners that bybs & puppy peddlers sell to. These are the owners that have "pity" on the breed & rush out to the shelter to adopt a poor, innocent pit bull & then in an attempt to "prove" to others that the breed isn't a "bad" breed, they let them run loose to "play" & "socialize" with other dogs b/c it would be unfair to a "pack" animal not to do so.

WE, APBT owners, HAVE TO start policing ourselves before we ALL loose our dogs!

Does this mean I have permission to arrest the next idiot Pitbull owner I see? There was a girl taking her Pit into the dogpark last Saturday during my moring walk, and I've had the "don't take your dog in the dogpark" talk with her. Way too much WILLFUL ignorance out there. But you do have to try. Its just that so many of these dogs are owned by lowlifes who really don't give a crap that its an uphill battle.

LOL. I don't think we CAN arrest other people. I mean, some of y'all might have some handcuffs lying around, but if you're not a police officer then legally you cannot use them outside your own home. ;)

What I meant by "policing" ourselves is for people to be more aware & take responsibility for whom they sell/give/adopt out "pit bulls" to. This is the biggest aspect that WE as other "pit bull" owners CAN have an affect on. We also need to keep educating others of course. Push it upon them, talk their heads off, rattle off the facts even when they walk away. But don't give up. It's not "horrible" of us to let it be known that people who take "pit bulls" to dog parks are irresponsible. It's not a bad thing to want to separate yourself from those who use the breed as a walking fashion accessory adorned with spiked collars, harnesses & attached to ungodly sized chains while being paraded down the street, at parks where lots of people are, & at dog parks. It's OK to speak out against these people. It's ok to let the media know that the "pit bull" owner they interviewed who insisted "pit bulls" have every right to run loose & socialize with other dogs is uneducated or misinformed. We need to speak out against those who use these dogs as guard dogs or personal protection dogs. ALL these types of people are ruining the breed by giving it a bad image, putting the dogs into situations that most definitely will turn ugly, & so on. That's what I meant by "policing".

I agree that we need to police ourselves. Thre are people out there that are not taking the responsiblity of being a pit owner seriously! I love me dogs and I can't imagine someone taking them away from me because of my own stupidity! The problem is that law makers are trying to take my dogs because of OTHER PEOPLE'S stupidity! And that really pisses me off. All of these dumb @ss that let their dogs run free and cause problems need to line up so I can kick their @sses! My dogs (and yours) should not have to suffer because of stupid people!
Blame the Deed not the Breed!!

Chalk this up in the negative column because of an irresponsible owner. I think the saying, "Because of a few, many will be punished" applies very much toward bull-breed owners. Very sad, but true.

People like this don't deserve to have any breed of animal, not just bull-breeds.

  20. I agree...P U R E Propaganda.....if the killing dog were a GSH or a Labrador it would not may his way to the news....
