Hi all! I am sorry I have not had a lot of time to particapate/interact with you all. I have 4 jobs, a terminally ill loved one and a Golden with HD. I have a pit rescue and things are going very well with Roscoe thanks to you all.

I copy and paste the address from the address bar at the top of my browser. Put your curser in the address bar, right button click on your mouse, choose copy, and when you want to place the address, right click and choose paste.

I really hope that they catch the people that did this. It's saddening to think that people, human beings,and I use the term loosly, whom are supposed to be superior to animals, have done such a thing. I strongly believe that it all comes out in the wash, whether or not they pay for this now, they will DEFINATELY pay for this in the long run. :mad:

 

I really wish i could be the one to walk up on someone getting ready to commit some BULL$#!+ like that and show them some inhumanity of my own! Don't get me wrong, i'm not one to be much for violence but because of a rough upbringing i've got a major problem with people who get off being cruel just because they can.

I haven't even read the article yet, I'm still in tears from the pictures. This is horrible!

 

You can even intervene anymore. A few days ago, a man tried to rescue a Chow-mix pup from a man who was beating it in a parking lot. The man pulled a knife & stabbed the rescuer 3 times in the chest. He lived though, but was in critical condition.

& DarkStar, it is not fair to compare the dogmen who love & cherish the breed & their own dogs to inbred street trash who pour acid down a pups throat.

 

This is horrible, the freaking moron that did this should be made to drink the same s??t!!!! And then he/she be put to sleep.

 

I feel for that pup. I'm sure she sufferred but now she is better off. Anyone who purposely inflicts pain on an animal in a sick and demented way like that should be punished severly.

However, this looks like a possible accident to me. The reasons this came to my mind is:

1. You can not force an animal to drink anything with it's tongue. The pup was lapping up the chemical and you can't make a dog do that.

2. The burns are almost entirely on the underside of the pup. It's even positioned as if the pup layed in it. If someone were to intentionally burn an animal they would throw the chemical on the animal and the wounds would be on top of it's body.

It is a possability that the idiot owner (who apparently had a chemical out in the open in his backyard) was negligent and the pup stumbled upon the chemical. OR he was a jerk and left a bowl of it in the dog's pen, or near the dog while tied. The point is that this very well could have been an accident.

The reason that this is important is because if someone intentionally tortured this animal or was negligent states a lot of someones character and looks different on someone's record. They are either an idiot or an a$$hole. I think there are more details to this case that we are unaware of. Such as how did the dog come to be in the hands of AC? did the culpret bring the dog? Was this chemical left in the yard because the person works with concrete and was recently using it? Just having an open mind here.

 

I cannot view anymore gory stuff, but will add from other posts, people will do what they will & don't have a heart, at that! 'Welcome' and I'm very sorry to hear the things you are going through right now. If things seem bad, keep a prayer in your pocket, in good faith. It'll only get better from there.

The burns were on over 80% of its body, not just the underside. Also, it was found dumped. That's how it was discovered. Intentionally dumped!
Its intestines were feared to have been severly damaged. And with a dogs' keen sense of smell, I doubt it would intentionally ingest something so horrific and powerful.

Investigators told Engstrom they thought it was a type of acid that can be used for cleaning concrete, such as in a swimming pool, but that may sometimes be used in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

not likely a substance a pup would WILLINGLY go after, IMO.

I wouldn't think a pup would drink it either for the same reasons unless it was dehydrated and there was no water available. Still, how do you force a dog to drink? I guess the person could have had a friend put on some heavy dutie gloves and hold the dogs mouth open, hoping that the chemical didn't splash on their own flesh (seems much more unlikely than the dog simply lapping it up itself) I think the dog took one lap, realized it was a terrible substance and shook it's head repeatidly, kept licking it's nose, because there are burns there. I think the reason there are burns on the face and around the outside of the eyes is because the dog used it's fore legs to rub at itself (the legs having the substance on it) How can you tell if a chemical is intentionally spilled? and where was that info? All I read was that they found something that MAY have been the chemical in the backyard of the suspect. It really looked like the burns were only on the underside of the body, I don't see why they would only take photographic evidence of the underside if there were severe burns on the top too. Even if there were burns on the top (which I don't think so) how could there be sooo much burning on the underside?
The pup was probably neglected to some degree, didn't have water and got itself into the chemical, probably dumped it itself and took one drink. The burning isn't necissarily instant... not at all. and if the idiot was using this chemical to make meth... believe me, he wouldn't want to waste it by dumping it on the ground.

I really feel for the pup and I think people who hurt animals should be severely punished but this doesn't sound right to me.
