No sorry, not without a pedigree. They can't even tell breeds apart with genetic's testing. Cute girl though.

  3. dry creek is right without papers there really is no way to tell what she is,but from my experince i would say that pit or amstaff is the dominate breed of dog in your girl there but i am leaning towards amstaff.but there really is no way to tell for sure.just enjoy her and love her, thats what you get dogs for anyways not for a piece of paper, sure they are nice to have but if you wernt wanting to show her or nothing then you have no reason to worry what she is.[IMG]

To register your dog with the city, isnt the same as registering her with a registry...you will not need papers to do this.

So who decides if she is a pit or not? cause if i have no papers then why pay for insurance and have to muzzle her in pubic and all that

The law probably states something along the lines of "any breed previously deemed dangerous, or exhibiting charectoristics of any of the banned breeds". What this boils down to in your case is-any dog with short hair and a musclular body is a "pit" to the city. They may have a vet to help determine, and they may not. When they ask what breed your dog is-be honest with them. Tell them you have no clue, without papers and you believe she is either some sort of boxer mix, or American Pitbull Terrier mix. Tell them you dont know anything for certain other than she is a wonderful dog, and you are there to be a responsible owner and register her just in case ;)
