i have ALOT of variances, since i have more than just a few dogs, so i wont go there lol.

dogs grow diff., and your dog may get alot bigger than any of ours, or might be alot smaller. Best way to tell if hes "on track" is post a picture, and we will tell you.

things you can look at right now-

does he have a waist? Or does he look like a log?

does his belly protrude out like a basketball? Or is his belly tucked?

does he look like he can only walk down the block? or does he look like he could romp all day?

There is a happy medium for your guy depending on his bone structure and how he looks now.

    Adjust food/exercise accordingly.

My APBT, Lexas was about 45-50 lbs. at about 8 months. That's naturally too, she wasn't fat. She's, IMO a lil underweight right now, weighing only about 67lbs. She was real sick about a month ago though-something to do with her blood cell count-and lost about 10-15 lbs. I'm working on getting her weight back. She should be about 75-80 lbs. I just don't want to work her too hard, etc.

  11. Thanks guys for all your replies!!! I know my Pit is healthy, he looks great, and he's very stong and fit,and he weighs about 55lbs and he's not fat. I also know that Pits very in size and weight, some are big some are small, but there all great dogs!

The weight of pitdogs varies from line to line. I have dogs from 30-50 @ 8 months.
