I am tired of you jerks bashing me. I have my opinions! They are mine and I am entitled to have them and express them. I don't bash anyone for having there opinions, so then why do you people keep doing it to me? I sit back and read what everyone else has to say...I may disagree with it, but I don't bash others or curse at them. I would appreciate it if you all would show me the same amount of respect. Granted, in a post or two, I may have come off a little defensive or offensive, but I have NEVER cursed at any of you or told any of your to shut up or keep your opinions to yourselves!!!I thought this forum was supposed to be friendly. I thought it was supposed to be a place to learn and express your opinions and to share your experiences. It's turning out to be nohting but a bashing forum. Where people who THINK that they know everything about the breed...Many of you people are completely disrespectful for no apparent reason.

  2. I think you may be too sensitive to own this type of dog. Just owning this type of dog leads to prejudices and unfounded hatred. Do you yell at people when they walk on the other side of the street to stay away from your dog?

  3. I am getting to the point where I don't even post on here anymore. Everyone is so negative. I find it hard to find a positive response or just a helpful thought. I am sure I will get bashed for this but thats ok becuase I run a electronics repair center so no one on here can say anything that my customers don't say to me when their big screen breaks. I can even help you all.... all my dogs are mutts their bloodlines are the worsts they are not spayed or neutered their not rescues their going to die in a year they have spike collars which I guess hurts the breed their ears are cropped they are fat and lazy I am a irresponsible owner..........all these items are all from looking at my pics on line

It's not that I'm too sensitive to own a pit. Although yes I am a very sensitive person. I just didn't expect to be treated like this on a forum where we are ALL supposed to be halping the breed and eachother with advice, opinions, etc. Not bashing....

If one could decipher an insult or rude comment from a meaningful, educational comment, there wouldn't be as many problems.

Yea some people are pretty honest and blunt, and it can make someone mad, but when they're speaking the truth... what's wrong with that?

And yes some people are prone to toss out personal attacks - but it's the internet, and it shouldn't make anyone so mad that they decide they aren't going to stick around and try to learn anything new. I'd have to say I have definitely learned how to "shake it off" when it comes to comments in which I feel were not appropriate. And I hope others can learn to do the same thing.

I used to feel the same way in another forum I joined. Some people just want to get to the point and don't sugarcoat anything. I try my hardest to stop myself from being rude sometimes because I don't like getting yelled at either.

I don't know why people are leaving you negative feedback, but I would just ignore it if possible. It's probably a couple of people who have made it their mission in life to bash other people to make themselves feel superior.

Just keep your head up, I would search through the forums a bit more before you post a question so nobody jumps on you for asking a "stupid" question. I really feel that this is one of the best places to get information from experienced people.

  10. I have said it before and I will say it again. I take every comment with a grain of salt. Its not how someone says it its the info you can take away from it. I have done tons of research and have been grooming and training for several years. However, I have learned tons from this forum. I don't care how people respond to me I just take the good info and run with it. Let the cursing roll off your back and ignore it and learn from the info you are given. Its a computer screen and honestly getting upset over a computer screen is silly.

  11. TruPitLver, I've read over your last couple of posts in different forums. Here is why people bad mouth you

    - You want a dog soley for its look, not working ability (Big Blue)
    - You won't consider a rescue dog, because it may snap someday at your nephew
    - You're not sure your dog is pregnant or not (or how it may have gotten pregnant)

Maybe you're not right for this site, or for this breed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one of the rules of the forum to "argue with the post, not the poster"? I believe that if you think someone is stupid, it's not really neccessary to bash them for it. Isn't it better to ask the "dumb" question and be corrected than continue to repeat the same "dumb" actions over and over?

We all started out as n00bs. Nobody comes out of the womb blessed with all of the APBT knowledge in the world.

My Grandpa (rest his soul) used to always say, "opinions are like assholes- everyone's got one and they all stink".

Oh, and to BADGUYPITS, I thought your dogs look good.

  14. JuicyCa has a point, I'm new hear and I really don't know what's going on, but I have got bashed alot on other forums for just asking a simple newbie question. On the other forum I was on, they thought they knew it all!! So for some of the people that have been hear longer, just take it easy. We all have the same kind of dog and we all love em'. Some of us may know more than others, so that's why we have to share our thoughts with other people, just don't lose your cool!!

Even just to own this breed, you HAVE to be able to develope a "thick skin" and let some of the unnecessary comments you're GOING to get, just slide off your shoulders...
People affiliate and equate pit bull owners to be of a "certain" type, anyway, so, by owning one, get used to their apparent lack of knowledge, and simply, just...
    "grow some".
    It comes with the breed!:)
As far as the questions go, and the "tone of voice" sometimes implied:
yeah, sometimes the responses SEEM a little gruff, but honestly, don't take it all too personally: the folks here just want what's best for the breed. Period!!!!!
And "rare blue pits, bred for size, or human aggressive", to name a few descriptions, (I won't even touch the "Oh I'm having a litter" ones), do NOT do anything to help this breed, and quite frankly, the long-time breeders on here, in their defense, DO get weary of reading it all, innocently asked, or not, so yeah, they can get defensive...
I have a great friend who has owned/bred this breed for 27 years. Her dogs are sought out/after even BEFORE she has a litter. She ONLY sells to people she knows. NEVER has had to advertise. Anyway, with the turn, and demise of this breed, (as compared to the "old days"), she has been considering "stepping out" and away form pits. Speaking and being with her, is like reading an encyclopedia=I learn SO much by being with her, and I am SO very sad for her pending decision, but I understand it, as I do, the responses on here as well....
So, if some posters seem "edgy" and defensive", they probably are, and with good reason. Just try not to take it all to heart, and know that TRULY, their reasons/explanations are ONLY meant to help YOU, as owners, and this BREED which is their love....
Be open minded. TRY, to be patient, and read responses with the mind set, that the replies given, as harsh as some may sound, are meant to educate you, so that you (we) can ALL become better owners, and BETTER representatives for this VERY misunderstood breed!:)

ok! That's my "talk"!!! 60's here! Gunna brerak out the motorcycle!!!! Have a great day all!!!
Remember=be open minded and not too defensive!!!:D
