i remember the logansport shows chaser. i'm sure you remember when irish jerry was the judge and a group of idiots caused the county mounties to show up? i packed up camp and headed out and havn't returned since. to much bulldog s#%t for me. but those were some big nice shows. i havn't been to a show in years because you cant fix stupid. also the kankakee shows used to be a good time. maybe one day when some other breed is the black sheep breed we can enjoy ours a little more.

Indiana doing any shows? I'd like to get out this summer and catch some shows. My kids never seen weight pull or a true pit bull show.

Supposedly one here in August in Frankfort, about 30 minutes north of Lebanon. It'll be my first actual show I'm attending. Flyer is below.

They usually put on a good show with lots of dogs and people. I probably won't be going this year because I'll be picking up a puppy that week.

Well that's a bummer, besides the new puppy that is! :D

My husband won't go, and my only couple of friends that I know would love it have to work that weekend.

It'll be interesting to see. I usually go to the big AKC show at the Indy fairgrounds here in February, but I know this will be a whole different ball game.

Yeah, I'm bummed about not going. But the good news is that next year I'll actually be able to compete.

That'd be awesome! I'd love to do some of the limited reg stuff with mine, but I still worry about her looking too much like a bully, and I'm not about to take her and make an ass out of myself, or disrespect people there that actually have well bred dogs  Maybe one day I will have a good dog I can actually show with.

lol I don't take Em because she hops, kind of like a bunny, instead of walks. Otherwise, I'd love to do fun shows with her.

I took a shelter dog to the fun show last year and everyone was so nice to us. It was my first time in the show ring and obviously his first time too. Everyone gave so many tips and tricks for next time. Though, there isn't a next time for Parker. He got adopted not long after we got back from the show. For an unconditioned shelter mutt, he did place 2nd though.

I wouldn't worry what other people thought if you were just entering her in the fun classes. It's not for points or anything. Just fun as the name implies.

Don't worry about what others think. Come on out and have some fun. There will be fun classes you can enter :) If not, just come to enjoy some good dogs and good people :)

Just like they said - Dont worry others. The folks that go to shows are usually super nice and very helpful.
And always a blast to talk with, cause they speak the same language....dog. ha ha

Heck yeah I'll be there. :) I hit this one every year and it's always fun. One of my dogs will be making her debut in weight pull at this show. First one :) Don't know how it will go, but I'm hoping she does well!!

The heat is ridiculous here! Over 105 for 10 days or so now. Been working the dogs LATE LATE at night. Only way to be safe and still have to be careful. They are looking good though. Be safe and look fwd to seeing you again. Hope the turnout in Oct is good. I got a ton of show folks that say they are coming.
