UT: Ralph Greenwood Memorial Invitational - *Updated Qualifications*

To be held in conjunction with the SLTA’s Two Sanctioned Conformation shows, Weight Pull and Top Dog Event on Saturday 5/26/18 and Ralph Greenwood Memorial Sanctioned Weight Pull on Sunday 5/27/18

The Invitational Conformation Show will be judged as a comprehensive conformation evaluation show. Each dog will be judged by a judging panel (minimum of 3 judges), one dog at a time. The judges will share with the dog’s owner/handler a verbal critique and the exhibitor will be given an opportunity to interact with the panel.

Dogs registered for the INVITATIONAL Conformation Show will have their arm bands and assignment of show area and judging time on Sunday morning. Check-in begins at 9:30 AM.

After all dogs have been initially judged by their respective judging panel, all the dogs in each class will be called to the ring for the awarding of the placements; first through third place. All first place puppies will then compete for the Best Puppy Trophy award. Invitational rosettes will be given for all class placements. The Ralph Greenwood Memorial plaques will be given for the Top Trophy Awards.

We anticipate that the biggest class will be the Champion of Champions Class. When entry numbers warrant, the CH of CH class will be split into male and female classes. First place winners of the split CH of CH classes will compete for the Advanced Champion award judged by a designated judging panel to be announced the day of the event.

First place winners in all regular classes and Best Puppy will be called to the ring at the end of the show and will compete on an equal basis for the Best of Show and Best of Opposite Sex awards. This class will be judged by the Best of Show judging panel to be announced the day of the event.

Points toward a dog’s championship status will be awarded for all classes at the ADBA 30 year Ralph Greenwood Memorial Invitational Conformation show.

Qualifications for dogs to enter will be earned from the 2016 through the beginning of 2018 show seasons. To qualify dogs must have earned one of the following:

All dogs having earned a Best Puppy, Best of Show or Best of Opposite Sex Trophy at a Sanctioned show in 2016 thru May 13, 2018.
All dogs listed in top 25 of 2016 – 2017 Conformation and Champion Rankings.
ALL Champions having placed in a Champion of Champions class in 2016 thru May 13, 2018.
Placement in the 2017 ADBA Nationals (1st, 2nd and 3rd) in all conformation classes.
Any puppies of the age that could be entered in a puppy class on May 27, 2018 (under 12 months of age) with a previous first or second place award.

Qualified Invitational Entry Fee: $35.00 PER DOG
Golden Ticket Option: We will be offering a very limited number of “Golden Ticket” option for entries:

Dogs that are in puppy classes that would not have been old enough to enter a dog show during the 2017 show season.
Dogs that do not qualify only due to not being shown after 2015 i.e. (retired to brood stock, owner circumstances, etc.)
Dogs that have achieved a first place award but do not qualify due to not receiving a trophy award.

Golden Ticket Entry Fee: $40.00 PER DOG

Registration for the INVITATIONAL will be open January 1st, 2018. If your dog meets one of the below listed qualifications, you are invited to submit your non-refundable, pre-registration and payment below.

NOTE: All entries for the INVITATIONAL are pre-entry only. Verification of all dogs pre-entered will be done by the ADBA show department and an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you as your receipt. Entries will close after the first 100 dogs have been registered on or before May 14, 2018 which ever comes first. (Due to the entry limit we encourage owners to qualify dogs as soon as possible.)

Mail in registration may also be done.

Entry transfers will be allowed under the following conditions:

Only one transfer to another qualifying dog per entry.
All transfers must be made by May 18, 2018. NO transfers will be allowed after this date!
