Damn, 60 centimeters is a pretty tall dog. He would be approximately 24 inches at the withers.

This is not Stumpy's dog. This is Plato taken yesterday. Around 19 1/2" a bit heavy for my liking but hey I'm not going to argue with him at arounfd 27kilos. He's a big fella GregP.

Fair enough. Yeh my mate has alot of land running next to his property with plenty of roo's. It's a good stomping ground for the new pups and occasionally the big guys take one down, Absoloute shit fight it is!:D

for roos for a bit of sport for the dogs to earn their meals, i use too, let a staghound run em down and then the bulldog finish em off. staffs and apbt just wouldnt have the pace out in the clear. and even if in close, id would rather let em get in the clear, roo claws on their feet are sharp and powerfull and if the roo can get a hold on the dog there is gonna be tears, them bad boys have got enough power in those back legs to open a silly dog up from asshole to breakfast.

but the dogs fav food is roo tail!

This fella got out of his pen one day and run into a mob of roos and jagged one. By the time he finished with it, it looked a front window of a butchers shop. They are a dangerous animal alright.

Wally that staff looks nice and ripped. Ever have any trouble with the bigger staffies being confused for APBT's? Ive heard BSL has taken hold on the east coast of Oz.

Hello Bull and Terrier, Yep all the time. People think they are APBT's but they are not they are 100% SBT. Not that I have anything against APBT's in the right hands. Staffs are just as bad in the wrong hands. I've come across some awesome APBT's in my time just that the SBT is just my choice. I have had no grief from any BSL. I get most of my grief from other SBT. owners and breeders. LOL.

Love that brindle blur going past him. Looks like she is still working on a way to bring the big fella down. Lucky she has good air 'cause she's going to need it.:)

not to burst your bubble or ruin this thred nsdm but some people here who'd asked some questions know a thing or two about athletic and old type staffords and any showstock line can also produce tall dogs just not up to par to the more athletic ones. i prefer the taller staffords myself, but more important i'd feed staffords that are tall in the inside if you know i mean. the most luxurious car without a good engine is senseless. I, like others, are just curious and happy to see these type of staffords in Aus, and not the teddy bears you are flooded with just like other countries.

Do the Staffords generally run bigger down under or is this a line you've bred for bigger size for hog-dogging? Stunning dogs btw, really like the look of the big male on the truck.

To be truthful I mate the best dog to the best bitch without any prejudice whatever size or colour they come out is fine by me. These are just some of the taller ones. There are some smaller ones of course of just equal quality IMO. This is a photo of one around the 16"mark.

This boy looks good. He is the more standard sized staffy I'm used to seeing, or it could just be that the guy is extremely tall. What is this boy's stats? I'm going to take a guess and say 15 inches and about 40-45 lbs.

Hello you got the weight right but you missed the height. He is around 17 1/2" - 18".

Re: 20" Staff going for a hunt.

A good dog is a good dog, and whether the stafford is tall or short, working stock or show stock, a good dog is a good dog. I didn't mean that I prefer shorter staffs or taller staffs. If the dog is from show stock, but is 20 inches tall and can work, he is getting fed. If the dog is from working stock, but is on the shorter end of 15 inches or even shorter, I'd still feed if he can work. When I made that post, it is because Wally said he gets most of his critics from the staffy community, so I just said that because the staffy community is mostly "15 inch kegs on legs." I could careless how tall the dog is or how much it weighs. I ask for stats simply because I was curious.

Also, I too know a few things on the old gamebred staffords as well as the modern KC staffords. I know the game staffies of the past were much taller, in fact, many modern KC staffies are range from 18-22 inches. The old time staffs are really impressive and many of them have even proved their merit against the apbts. The dublin red and psycho strains are extremely famous and known for their gameness, as well as the old flynn strain.
