sounds exactly like our black soil if your unlucky enough to be driving on it when it rains it fills your wheel arches and you can't steer aswell as stick to your wires under the car and tear em out i just leave the boots in the car when hunting wet black soil

Thats what alot of my hunts look like! but you deff cant wear shorts! hahaha. I'm not even about to say anything about the venomous snake population and species variety! YALL GOT THAT SHIT ON LOCK!

Yeah she was great! Mad intelligent bitch, smart enough to catch the hog and leave those Saltie's alone! I always liked steves little bitch. It was a shame the way she went out.

Sounds like you've found a program thats working for you, thats what counts.

We are working towards a Mini Bull terrier/APBT/Dane/Ambull/Pat cross, or a vartiation of the above. Might swing some lacy and LA leopard dog in there for shits and giggles.

Looks like the hound grabbed that cross by the balls... Sounds like you know what you want out of your animals though.

Yeah we got prickle bush down south we have blackberries i think that is the same shit you guys call briars hunted my dogs in it once the other year they had no worrys going in to catch a pig but once the shit was over they just stood there dumb founded as to which way was out either that or the prickles..
Up here we have prickly acacia has 1 inch thorns real pain in the ass literaly but not on my property i hunt mostly is on the mother inlaws property though..
Yeah was to much hound he would follow his nose and forget about listening to you chase kangaroo or what ever else scent he was after and trail bark aswell the guy i gave him to thinks he is great catch anything finds well and fast...

Why you adding so many breeds to your cross sounds more like an accidental breeding??

HAHAHAHA! Deff no accidental breedings here! I'd end up with dead dogs before accidental litters.....

I was just mentioning using a variation between those dogs... not the inclusion of all of them.

Yeah, about 99.999999% of our hunts are pricker bush, thorns, and briars required! Cant win with those.... only win comes from the catch!

Right i thought you were saying you were going to mix all them in there hahahaha had my head spinning wondering what for..

Yeah i don't like the prickles mate stick to my swamps much easier hunting lived on a property in the mountains for 1.5 years that was probably my hardest hunting but good pigs the country was black soil, prickle bush,HUGE rocks and deep gorges the best way to guarantee a pig in that country was go hunt the prickles in shorts and thongs hahahaha always got 1 in there but be getting thorns out your feet for weeks after.. pigs there were average dressed weight of 70kg thats 154 pounds...

Yeah, to much of anything is a bad thing!

It seems like every time we catch one the first thing the bastards do is run straight to a thorn/blackberry thicket.... Cant win for losing..

Or whenever we bay up a runner and he decideds to break and the only way through to your dogs is in a blackberry hell.

yeah our country is remote when your talking population maybe 4 people per million acres so pigs don't see people much after the wet you can nearly hit em with a stick they that quiet but by the end of the season they running on sound of a vehicle.. We also have dingo's as in wild dogs and good boars rather fight than run might run a few hundred meters then stop and brawl that seems to be when my arab hits em and he gets bugger all injurys just as they hit the skids and turn he hits the ear and drives em bit of a pain with the odd runner pigs cause he jogs next to em waiting for em to spin means you got to run a bit further..
It gets that hot here to you will have up to 40 pigs sitting in a dam to cool off making them easy to find, find the water you find the pigs..
my main propert i hunt has 42 dams and end of the year they have anything from 1 loan boar to 40 mob rubbish sitting in each 1 but fanging around trying to do the whole block in a day is rough on your vehicles and your dogs not to mention your self but i can't think of anything i'd rather do with my spare time got my brother inlaw on his way up here now be here this afternoon for a few day bender hunting has been a bit of rain though due to start of the wet so they won't be easy to find we will be night hunting with the dogs finding off the ute but hope to get a few good 1's...

The reason we develop alot of 'runners' out here is because alot of people put their JUNK into the woods.. They are usually young boars that develop like this... They break camp one time and see that most useless bay dogs will give up after a few hundred yards. They hear or smell dogs... and they break... Sucks for us because we usually run alot of dogs that will stop a runner. The part about that which is no fun for us is dragging them back to the boat.... no way to get an atv or buggy back where we release.. After those boars reach maturity though.... NO MORE RUNNING! no squealing or screaming! just tusk clapping and dogs without vest getting bust wide open!

Your right about that! find the water find the hogs... But we usually run the WMA's in the winter time to give the poor white tail deer out here a fighting chance... so usually the hogs will be anywhere.
