Be without limits

I would think that most have heard the name Bruce Lee. Even though he lived & died along time ago, his style of fighting & philosophy of fighting are still among the best.
But his philosophy is not only based to martial arts, it applies to a lot of things especially dogs.
His thought were to be without limits. Let no style be "YOURE STYLE ", let no way be "YOUR WAY". So that all styles is your style & all ways are your ways. Be like water. Put it in a cup, it becomes the cup. Put it in a bowl it not becomes the bowl. Be like a river flowing. The greater the river the stronger the current you must always be moving. Stand still & you becomes stagnant & no good like water.


When it comes to dogs, each & every one of us has a favorite strain close to are hearts & nothing is wrong about that. Just know that you can still maintain that family while letting your family of dogs grow by adding new ones too it.
Sometimes we limit ourselves with tunnel vision to a single family of dogs.


I just believe thru experience that you can have your cake & eat it too by maintaining more than one strain.
Thing about dogs is time is never on your side. Passing up on some dogs may come back to haunt you years down the road.
No matter how great a dog is or how good is the family ,there is always room for improvement.
Old timers had pure & crossed versions of there own families.
Even these days you can still see big name dog breeders do the same.
Mr Hammonds is known for the Alligator blood , but he doesn't just specialize in pure Alligator dogs. He has dogs crossed with other families such as Panama Red, Bullyson, Heinzl etc. There are others like Mr Garner who has crossed Red Boy, Bolio , & Alligator with his well known Frisco family of dogs. And even Mr Norrod has crossed some of his great dogs in his time.
You owe it to yourself to KNOW everything about your dogs. To see all that they are capable of being.
Don't get kennel blind & tunnel vision if you have a choice about it.
