Hello, RickyB is right when he says that the name SBT was invented by KC ... no terrier blood is present in our breed who is a 100% pure bulldog. For this reason, the Independent Kennel Club (a italian registry) has officially named the breed Old Time Staffordshire Bulldog!

I don't think there has ever been a Staffordshire Bulldog. How is there no terriers in your dogs?
Didn't you call your dogs Staffordshire Bull Terriers not too lond ago?

Hello, modern research on DNA revealed that the terriers blood of our dogs is at most 5%... then is confirmed that no terriers blood has been used to "improve" the Old working bulldogs.

On the other hand, as would have been possible to improve a real working bulldog through a terriers blood?

Instead it has been shown that many "terriers" have up to 40% of bulldogs blood in their veins!

And this is NORMAL because working terriers were always improved by bulldogs blood for increase their game, their tenacity and their stamina.

Now, if many people reject modern DNA research certainly is not a IKC problem.
Our dogs are bulldogs: this is the only truth that every student of the breed knows and support.

Modern KC have only been working together to hide the truth and the story of the working breeds

As Italians (and breeders of the original Staffordshire) we are proud to be the first Registry to call this breed by its true name: Staffordshire Bulldog!

    Best regards

There were no original staffordshire they were all just pit dogs staffordshire was added by the kc.
Even with 5% terrier blood there is still terrier blood in there, otherwise there would be 0% in there. There is the British Bulldog and an American Bulldog but no Staffordshire Bulldog. This is a newly made up name created by another registry.
