I am conditioning my dog for an up and coming show, I was just wondering how lean do you get your dog before you say thats enough? Do you wont to see the ribs or back bone? Im just looking some guidelines in order to get my dog in the best shape possible.

I use flirt pole, spring pole, hand walk, tug of war between two dogs, etc. I do not have a slate mill as of yet but hope to get one in the near future.
