To own a pure bred dog is a good thing.
To have a good pure bred dog is even better.
To know that your dog is from an outstanding lineage is something to be proud of.
But the hard fact is simple.
No matter how he is bred or what he comes down from there is no guarantee that the dog itself will perform or produce like dogs.
There's not even a guarantee that the dog will be worth keeping @ all.
But it's no really even understood how one can be sure of the results of two dogs breeding who has never owned or seen the dogs themselves in the pedigrees.
Some one who name is in the pedigree will have an ideal about what may or may not work because they have actually seen the dogs & might have even made similar breeding's in the past.

That's who you ask about a plan breeding if you didn't work the dogs yourself.

But to ask someone who has never dealt with any dogs in the pedigree or bred too any dogs in the pedigree is a hell of a gamble on how the results may turn out.
Crazy & backwards if you ask me.
Dogs that turn out & meet that breeders standards are bred.
Not how many titles are in the pedigree. Fact is not all in every breeding turns out.
Little secret. Any one serious about there dogs won't sell or give away the best in the litter.
Who gives away the best & build a line off of what's left over?
No- One! Not at least anyone who is serious.
If that person who bred the dogs sold or gave away more than they kept, keep it moving.
They might not have the best for the breed in mind when they did that breeding.

Some times the tittle dog in the pedigree may be the only one in the litter that may have turned out good.
But to get a good dog takes time & effort in the chosen path you wish to breed in.
Weight pull, confirmation or what ever.
You just have to put on your big person shoes ,get out there & work with them.

It's not about doing anything illegal but about doing some with your dog that may be considered work.
There's lots of things you can do.

That means work your dog yourself before determining how you actually feel about your dog.
Not ask some one what they think about a dog that they have never seen.
It doesn't even make sense yet alone common sense .

If not plan on working yourself then talk to the person who has worked the dogs that are bred or plan on being bred.
If a dog meets your standards ,what ever they may be, then good.
But if it doesn't then think harder on what you may consider a good dog.
To get a good working dog takes lots of work. Lots of work.
And in lots of cases you may not of heard about or understand the dogs & breeding's in the pedigrees.
Make allowances for breeding to certain dogs. .
He might does this but lacks in that. But he works.
Don't make excuses for dogs that lack everything & don't work.
It only takes a small piece of shit to mess up a jar full of honey!
Breed your dogs based on your dogs. Not how they are bred.
