    Hello,

my question is: What are the reasons for flat-footedness?
Is it genetics (does it run in family of dog), bad growing up, bad food or are there other possible reasons?

    Greetings

poor nutrition and 'shudder' wire flooring will also contribute to splay foot.

It sometimes happend in heavly inbred dogs.... it can be from poor nutrition too.

Can this be somewhat helped (not fixed, but maybe at least to make the dog more comfortable) by exercising on pea gravel to help exercise the foot and get more support?

All of the above. All can play a part.
