Mountain Lions are scared of aggressive dogs. That is why hounds tree them. Sometimes a hungry puma will get someone's pet but if an aggressive dog is on one's heels they would rather get up a tree than fight. As far as them being capable of killing any dog if they wanted to. Hell yeah. They kill large deer and even elk solo. It is just they would rather catch something unawares than have to fight it head on. That is why you should never run if accosted by a cougar/puma/mountain lion. Their prey drive will kick in and you will be attacked.

Yeah, a mountain lion would eat a pitbull...
but unlike the pitbull, the mountain lion feeds itself and relies on its health to survive. Thats why wolves, mountain lions, and any other thing wild arent gonna stay and fight most of the time, because an injury could mean starvation.

To the Op:
You won't find much information on actual events like a wolf vs a bulldog, nobody wants to see a fight between an animal that wants nothing more than to run from the other animal that just won't stop.......It's a pointless match and one I would call cruel. One animal wants to be there the other will just want to run when the shit his the fan....it is cruel to fight any animal that isn't driven to do so, in other words wild animals tend to avoid confrontation more than look for it, in almost every instance, a wild animal will have a quick flurry of a fighting followed by one or both parties high tailing it out of there. Not a very fair situation to put a dog that has had that flight instinct turned off through generations of selective breeding.

I see fights on smotri.com of Pits vs Kangals and other large "wolf Hybrid" type dogs that are much heavier than an actual "wolf" you would find in the wild. Consider this, a wolf doesnt instinctually go hunting on its own, it doesnt even fight its own battles one on one, it is a pack hunter/fighter. A wolf in a situation where it has to fight in a confined space with a dog that wants to be there, would not do good, 100lbs heavier or not. The heavy dogs are good for about 7-15 minutes before they are on their side sucking wind so hard they look about to go into cardiac arrest. Ive seen Dogos/CAO's/kangals/Kuttas/Rotties all match up against pitbulls on that website, and the pits take unreal punishment from the bigger dogs for the first several minutes......but lungs people, the lungs and the willingness to take that punishment is what wins out EVERY SINGLE TIME.

 

ive seen them too, the pit owns the dogo, owns the rott. but the other breeds you mention are just WAY too much for a pitbull, WAY too much. they are much heavier and stronger. i could never see a pitbull winning out against a kutta or kangal or tosa, just to name a few. Its just way too unfair of a match.

Are you serious? so if thats true how come people make such a big deal about fighting dogs that are in diff weight classes. i mean, if a pitbull(45lbs) can make a kangal(150lbs+) bitch out, whats the big deal? Or is it very rare that it happens.

 

in the past people used weight classes cuz APBTs are real warriors, and the Kengals are curs. it aint that rare, if you can find it there are tons of vids of Kengals that weigh twice its opponent, and the "pitbull" doesnt even look conditioned. they seem to do it out in the open for the most part so the "pit" cant even put the mutt in the corner where the real damage would occur. they just run around in circles and the Kangal has its tail between its legs. look, youll find em.

im not ssaying big dogs dont win , but in alot of cases big dog is doing damage after about 3 to 6 min big dog tires while pit gets upper hand , big dog curs out.... and IMO alot of these pits in turkey, china and so on are byb fights inopen fields no real class

 

agreed popper, some of the dogs in those places claimed to be APBTs looked like a damn bully to me
