That's what I call having a bad day. Vet got his arm taken off while treating this guy in Taiwan.

 

I can't imagine how. We ALWAYS tape the mouths shut first thing, then we do sedate if need be. Honestly, treating alligators isn't that hard. :confused:

I thought going in on a prayer was somewhat stupid myself.

 

I beleive thats a Croc not a gator and if you know anything about either youd know thats a photo shop job right there because a crocodilian would not lay there with the arm in its mouth. It would drop it or eat it right away... not save it for later and pose for a photo op.

 

I didn't look that closely at whether it was a Croc or Alligator. I was just making a statement.

And photoshop is amazing, isn't it?

Found this on a blog:

okay I just heard on great day what happen.. they said that the vet was trying to get a tranqulizer (major spelling help on that word) and the croc took his arm. they ended up shoot two more tranq's in the croc and get the arm out and rush it to the hospital and after 7 hours of surgery they were able to re attach his arm back...
