Question regarding puppies

Discussion in 'Dog Discussion' started by cenonfrancis, Oct 20, 2004.

  1. What if Pitbulls which they are mother and son mated and had puppies, would there be anything wrong with the puppies since they have the same genes?

    Thanks, Cenon

Depends on the specimens used in the breeding. By inbreeding, any good traits are intensified, but on the same note, any faults or defects can also be intensified. When inbreeding, the specimens you pick should definately be of top notch quality...

From what I've read about inbreeding, it is generally not a good idea, I don't recommend it, but I'm also not a professional.
