I've noticed that some dogs' ped's say four times winner.Doesn't three wins make a champ?If so why do the dogs that are 4X winners not just say champ,or is ther another title if the dog wis more than four ,or does it just go on such as 5X winner ,etc?

 

well if the dog win's 5 then its a grand champion, but if it wins 5 then looses another it goes back to just CH not GR. CH. Any dog with 3 or more wins is a CH

 

3 wins does make a champ... it might be that the dog's win(s) went unreported so it doesn't count towards the dog's championship. That's the only thing I can think of to answer what you're referring to.

After that, the Gr Ch title but only if there are no loses... otherwise, yeah, a dog can go on to win as many as the owner wants but with only a Ch title.

 

Could have lost one but then again people can put what they want on their peds. Alot of ped's are over-hyped propaganda IMO. Find somebody that's true to their dogs and you'll be better off in the long run.

 

I think there are a lot of people that put things like that on there to impress others, irrespective of whether or not their dog has actually accomplished anything. Meanwhile a lot of sensible folks aren't going to go publishing things like that for anybody to see. So there's a lot of room for error when you're talking about an online pedigree generator.

 

So people can just put anything on those online ped genereators?Like you can just take the names of some dogs and crate a fake ped?If so why do things like that even exist?

 

Yep,people can do pretty much anything they want once they pay a fee.

 

Right. Just like anything, you have to know who you're dealing with to know the truth. Things like that exist for convenience and easy access, more than anything else. Lots of good people use APBT online peds, not just crooks.

 

Champion certificates in the historic sense, are left there, because they are illegal. CH says 3 wins, not 4.

Pedigrees online is exploited the same as nearly any other pedigree system (yes, even registries) by liars and fakers to gain something. If you knew how easy people could hang pedigrees in ANY registration that doesn't dna (and even then, although slightly more difficult-not tamper free by a long shot!) you'd say the same thing about the ADBA,UKC,AKC,CKC, AADR, SDR, etc etc. Don't blame the creators for trying to help keep track of breedings, blame the folks who exploit it.

 

In Brazil, isolated or yard winnings means nothing, to be recognized as CH or GR CH, the dog need to win 3 matches in official Championships.
