A system that was created for bulldogs who got bred less than the famous ones.. Where do some of this shit get made up at?
Rock n rye why do u feel as such? It.seems to me por is all abt producing... And its putting a certain % as the bar unlike rom...where it doesnt take into account how many actual offspring you mafe to get to the title... I thought that it would be better to be por than rom... So id like to hear ur side

The reason is because males can be bred over and over and over to 1000 bitches. Females are limited on what they can produce

from my understanding this is true males went to four (call it the tom garner rule) because breeders that store frozen sperm off a stud can still produce dogs long after the stud is dead. this was changed when frisco pass jeep on rom list & the title dogs was comeing off frozen sperm. the females remain the same (3
)

REGISTER OF MERIT
A ROM dog needs to produce four champions total from any number of gyps.
You get one point for each CH requiring four in total, two points for a GR CH after making ROM.
Females only need to produce three CH/GR CH's to make ROM.

PRODUCER OF RECORD
A POR dog needs to produce 15 points from any number of gyps.
One point for every individual win, if an animal reaches CH then he gets one extra point.
Three points for every win plus an additional point for making his championship, making it four total.
If an animal gets to GR CH status he already received his extra point, so the animal would have six points total.
Females only need to produce 10 points to make POR.

I think that this method of calculation of the P.O.R. reflects better the quality of a producer.
My question is if there is a minimun required of points to be considered P.O.R. I think in the other way of calculation is 15 for males and ten for females.
If the offsprings of a dog have produced these results, would it be considered P.O.R.?:
* 1xw
* 1xw
* 2xw
* 4xw
* 1xw - 1x lg
* 1xw

* 1xl

I will appreciate your answer

PRODUCER OF RECORD

The Producer of Record (POR) is a title which was set up to reflect the true nature of a dogs ability to produce. A great producer does one thing, and that is produce bulldogs consistently. It is the sole duty of the POR title to reflect the genetic ability of these bulldogs.

These bulldogs are found and reflected upon in many ways, what the POR does, is unique. All aspect and accomplishments of their offspring, is weighed and then measured next to consistency. The POR system is very simple, and direct.

All bulldogs will have their offspring's accomplishments listed in this fashion, with no exceptions.

(during a show)
A dog that curs............ -3.0 points
A dog picked up game....... 1.0 point
1st win.................... 1.0 point
2nd win.................... 2.0 points
3rd win.................... 3.0 points
4th win.................... 4.0 points
5th win or more............ 5.0 points

Example.... A dog who has won 2, and picked up game on its 3rd would receive 1.0 point for its 1st, 2.0 points for its 2nd, and 1.0 point for being picked up game. Total = 4 points for its sire and dam.

(producing producers)
Every dog that produces a POR, they are to receive 6.0 points.

Example.... A dog has produced 2 POR dogs, they are to receive 12.0 points.

OVERALL

Each point will only account for 2 dogs, 1.0 point = 2 offspring. (if a dog has 20 points, they can have no more than 40 offspring. If a dog has 50 points, they can have no more than 100 offspring)

Any dog who does not have enough points to account for its offspring, does not deserve the POR title.

Example.... A $#@! that has 10.0 points, and 20 or less offspring, she has reached the POR title. If the same $#@! has 21 offspring and only 10.0 points, she is not POR.

There is no difference in the scoring for males and females, all are held to the same standard, and must not exceed the points to offspring ratio.
T.S that system is the one proposed by certain individuals in South Africa and is not a system used internationally. I dont believe that many in Southern Africa prescribe to it either. Not saying its better or worse, but just putting it out there.
And why in this time of busts and raids would one want it known that either ur dog is used for fighting or that u are breeding dogs for the fight game? The pursuit for titles in the public eye in countries where dog combat is outlawed is just looking for time in prison, and more negativity for our dogs because the media laps up any negativity that sells papers and the general public believes all the crap and untruths written or stated in the media.
But more importantly Ive noticed that many of the 'game' guys that intentionally seek fame from the game quickly turn and rat out others once their bragging has them in the police's spotlight. So for those in Southern Africa and such areas where its illegal , its advisable to not seek attention bringing titles for ur dog. Sorry about the rant.

Re: Rom, por & ep points

The information posted is from a dog that lived many years ago in my country and there is a discussion about if he was P.O.R. or not as he left many descendants. I do not see anything wrong about reviewing history. I think it is unnecessary to start pointing to anyone who has a descendant of a game dog. May be I do not catch the U.S. vibe, my appologies and thanks for your answer.

My response was not to the record of the dog but the system of POR that u mentioned. And I agree, discussing history is beneficial
