Tan & Blacks

A good thread is going on showing some black and tans, I figured there should also be a place for tan and blacks... Dogs that look like Ironhead that might evan have the signature black widows peak, fade to black in areas or just be a blend of both colors like a german shepard...

These peds are two examples of families that carry the trait, the ironhead line and it seems to pop up in jeep dogs, especially the werdo dogs...

Anyother examples of families or individuals that carry the trait???please share...

 

If the rumor that honeybunch was off ironhead and not bullyson would exlpain the widows peaks in the jeep dogs...
But than agian honeybunches cracker has that look also...

Widow peak can't appear when black dominance is present: Dog Coat Color MC1R As for Black and Tan dogs we all know they have been around before 1936 because they are one of them who was ban from AKC registration. Smut colored dogs and windows peak and Black & Tan are completely different from each other.

 

BTW Mario DeChabert of V.I. was a good friend of mine. Met him through Maurice Carver. Before he ran of office the last stock he had was pups off Ch. Timex and Susie Q 1xw. I'm gone, time to smoke a Winston and Kooldown. lol ;->

The bottem of these two are said to be inbred on Ironhead in the V.I.s, who knows posibly with that last stock he had of timex ex susie q. as they didnt keep track of pedigrees, or if they did they were a secret or didnt list the dams... they also used a similar practice of record keeping with thier horses and chickens...

for well over fourty years these ironhead widows peak color of smut, tan and black or grizzle has been in the virgin islands...

any pics of the peeks??? or any line that shares the smut grizzle???
