I didn't find Pit Gen's pedigree on "online pedigree's" but I *think* Pit Gen was directly by Nigger?? out of a bitch that was a full sister to Bolio's Sire... I think...

That's why mayfeild got so stuck on the Nigger dogs because of Pit Gen...

As he put it "Purest of the purest purity of pure pure gamedogs of pure PUREness".... lol...

Mayfeild was famous for clameing that any good dog really came from his blood... If you read between the lines he sorta contradict himself and then makes a full circle then comes back again...

LOL when he himself didn't really produce crap in his later years when ALL he did was breed and peddle pups... Which is what he said about FB which is why he got maverick?? Plz...


I never knew the man, but know a lot of people that did... He was crazy as a loone in his last years... But I give him credit his stories were always consistent and didn't change... I've herd that from many of people...

You can tell me how Boudreaux dogs are bred on paper all you want until you're blue in the face!! I still believe their Mayfield bred dogs. It's very difficult to prove someone stole your dog without physical evidence.(a camera, a witness etc...). But the truth will one day be acknowledged.Here's a fact for you, Maurice Carver bred the "Bullyson" dog to a dog called Arts "Missy" who was of pure "Dibo"breeding.He did this because of all the controversy surrounding how the "Eli" dogs were truly bred. He knew that the "Eli" dogs were really Tudor/Mayfield dogs and bred "Bullyson" to the "Missy" Bitch to "clean up" the blood. If you backtrack and look at all the breedings Caver did with "Bullyson", all the bitches he used were of pure "Dibo" breeding. Out of the "Bullyson" "Missy" breeding came the Hudson's"Tex" and Holt's " Jerimiah" dogs which were littermates. And in MY humble opinion that is the only good "Bullyson" blood available. The rest of that stuff can't hold a candle to a good Mayfield dog, believe me I know!! I've seen it.P.S. The time I mentioned Carver was when he was doing the right thing with the dogs. He too was known to falsify pedigrees at one time or another. What it all boils down to is things aren't what they seem to be.

We are certainly agreed that all isn't what it seems to be regarding Bulldog pedigrees! Have you heard the one that "they" claim Zebo, Vindicator and Rosie were all littermates out of a stolen litter (from Floyd) that was really sired by Eli? I have, and I can't prove that is true or not true either. I Started my breeding career with heavy "Mayfield" dogs so I know a little about them too. I know Bullyson quit and I know Carver faked a lot of pedigrees but also sent out a lot of good dogs. We will never know how the Carver dogs are really bred and that includes "Buster" "Tex" and "Jeremiah" in my opinion. By the way, Ed Crenshaw who used to be Carver's partner says Art's Missy is out of one of his bitches, not out of Miss Spike (Had enough yet?) And on it goes. My point was, you cannot trust Don's word! He hates Floyd and Carver's memory and is jealous enough of both to make up stories about this stuff, I believe. What he says about Eli may be true. If it is why did he wait thirty years, until he was way out of the Game to bring it up to the fraternity? Why didn't he embarrass/humiliate Floyd into giving some of those dogs back when he had the chance back in the 70's? Good question, huh? By waiting this long he has missed his chance to convince anyone his story is true (present company excepted). His story also may not be true. He also claimed once that Blind Billy (or maybe it was Scrub?) wasn't bred as said but Ed said when Billy was matched Earl Tudor was betting heavily on Billy because it was his breeding and in Ed's opinion Billy was certainly a Dibo dog, not the breeding Don has claimed. He even said he has Billy's registration showing him to be off of Collier's King, (I think, I'm going from my faulty memory) Point is, at this point in time we are stuck with the pedigrees all these old liars put on them. Sorry, but that's the way it is and Don's stories aren't going to change that. It's nice to see someone else who isn't so quick to believe that some of these peds aren't fake but in this case I would be cautious.

PS I think I was mistaken about another thing regarding Maverick too. I believe Doyle Reddick bred him out of his Herman dog (5 x winner) and the Liza Bitch he got from Floyd, but you'd have to check on that. By the way have you considered trying to get Floyd's side of all this? It isn't very good "journalism" to just blindly accept one side of a story, you know?

PPS Carver didn't just breed "pure Dibo" bitches to Bullyson as stated, he bred "everything" to him to sell puppies as he was touting B-son as the "baddest SOB on earth" at that time. (I.e. Midnight Cowboy/Chivo were out of Long's Baby (Sam X Tana) definitely NOT Dibo blood! Don is just making this stuff up.


I definitely have heard that "rumor" about how "Zebo", Vindicator" and "Rosie" were not sired by Lonzo's "Andy" and "Angie". But from what I was told, (not by Don) those dogs were sired by dogs down from the Tudor/Mayfield dogs. You can argue that case by saying that would explain the reason why "Vindicator" was a red/Red nosed dog and "Zebo" was black as was "Rosie". A lot of Mayfield dogs are either black or red/Red nosed. I also have a good friend who knew Ralph Greenwood. Greenwood's "Okie" was also sired by the "Andy" dog and from what Greenwood told him, "Andy" never sired a Red Red nosed in his life!! It just goes to show you really don't know how a lot of dogs are supposedly bred. Now about this Carver thing, if my memory serves me correct, the Long's "Baby" Bitch was brought to Carver from an outside party to breed to "Bullyson" and Carver saw that as a chance for quick cash and went on with the breeding. Sound familiar, a lot of present day dogmen do the same thing. I also spoke with A.W. McCool. He told me Carver taught him everything he knew and he has "THE REAL" Carver bred dogs and the rest of that stuff floating out there is bullshit blood. Weather or not this holds to be true I really don't know, but I will be doing my research on that topic.

P.S. I did speak to Floyd Boudreaux about him supposedly falsifying papers on "Eli" and he didn't want to talk about it!! He's made himself look awfully guilty in MY humble opinion.

Great! Now you are demonstrating a good honest skepticism! Definitely necessary when studying pedigrees on these dogs. The only point I would like to make (again) is: don't forget to apply it to Don., he may be telling the truth about some of this stuff or he may be making things up, I honestly wish I knew. Problem is, he has said some pretty wild things in the past and written some of the most outlandish stuff I have ever seen in print about bulldogs. Hence I am fairly skeptical about what he says, particularly since he offers no evidence to support any of it. I do know there has been a lot of shenanigans in these dogs from theft to paper hanging and we will never straighten their pedigrees out. That is why I tell greenhorns it is best to look a lot harder at the dogs than at the pedigrees! Do you concur?

im not sure mate. i had this and some more on the subject which i saved to some time ago. i didn't used to save who wrote them. if i find anything these days, i make sure i get the Ed for referances.
if ya find out mate, give credit, i found it very interesting just as i thought everyone else would after comming accross this short lived thread.

ps. i especially like the sbject also because it backs up exactly what i believe, look at ya dogs and not at the pedigree, people would go much further if they did this and there would be alot better dogs out there now, rather than crap like there is with a nice looking ped. sometimes ya cant help but laugh at some of those mate, and i know you see it the same way lol.

what a crock of sh*t. why don't you call up F.B. or J.C. and talk to the men before you go saying some stupid ignorant thing like that again. it would seem that people like to take the word of a snake in the grass like Mayfield over one of the most respected men in the history of these dogs. Mayfield has long accused F.B. of hanging papers on Blind Billy saying he was a Collier bred dog and not down from Tudors stock. and when you have two men both being successful with Tudor dogs, it would reason they may not see eye to eye.

ps i dont give a rat's who you believe/what you believe, and infact people shouldn't believe half the crap they read and even less of what come's from a man that is about to sell you a dog, unless you have seen it with your own eye's. you have a choice either way and that don't concern me in the least. ill do my thing, you do yours when it comes to the dogs, and if i choose to post something written by someone else for the sole entertainment of other's to have a read and maybe in some cases at least learn to be a little sceptical when it come's to the dog game i will.

Well, NIGGER ended up with Don Mayfield. He paid something like $300 or $500 for the dog to Sam Kennedy and in those days that was a lot of money. NIGGER was a producing dog. I had the Plumber’s ALLIGATOR dog and worked him for 2 or 3 fights. He was a big black dog, and I won his Champion fight with him. You could spot a NIGGER bred dog a mile away. Their characteristics are that when you walk up to them they would piss all over themselves, 9 out of 10 will. They were some kind of shy and would roll over on their back when you touched them. I bought my TIGER DAN from Earl and he was out of NIGGER and Womack’s MERT. He was a Brindle. Earl gave Bernice a puppy that is registered as Mayfield’s SPOOKIE but that really is my SPOOKIE. I don’t really care because like I said before, I’m not in the business of selling dogs and Don can do that as far as I’m concerned. But anyway, Earl gave that puppy to Bernice when she was four years old, she was solid black. Later we bred her to TIGER DAN and this breeding produced the best dog to ever walk the earth. His name was Pit GENERAL. This dog was a true super dog, I have never seen anything like him again in my life after he got stolen. TIGER DAN won two fights for me but SPOOKIE would never fight. She was a cold Bitch. We had two males and seven females. The females were all cold, wouldn’t hit a lick. But the males….oh boy! They were something special. Pit GENERAL had a brother that I liked better than him, his name was SATAN. One time when I was at Sam Kennedy’s place, SATAN got off the chain and killed three hogs and then jumped on a dog called KILLER that had won four fights. They killed each other. Pit GENERAL was a 42 to 44 pound dog and at this weight he was unbeatable. He was absolutely awesome, an Ace in every way. He was one of the hardest biting dogs in the history of fighting dogs. At one time, I had some good dogs. There was RANGER, a four time winner I got from Earl. This dog was a full bellymate brother to JIMMIE BOOTS. He was a 52-54 pound dog. Also I had VICK, GATLIN, and another one called BOBBYSON. I put GENERAL on all four at the same time and he just literally murdered them all as fast as I could go and get the next one. The next day Don and Phyllis Mayfield came up here and all the dogs were in the house except GENERAL. He was the only one standing on his chain. Don said “What did you do Danny?” I told him I rolled some dogs yesterday and he said, “Why did you roll them all into each other and not into this black dog?” I said I rolled them all against that black dog and he said “What! How much do you want for him?” I sold him the whole lot, and that’s how he got GENERAL.

What happened to GENERAL after Don Mayfield got him? He matched him against this guy from Oklahoma. His name was Billy or something. The dog he used was a good head dog called DUKE. GENERAL couldn’t get him for a long time, but when he did, he bit him in two. GENERAL was then matched into Freddie Jones’ BLACK BART. In fact, Pat Patrick wrote Don a letter at the time saying that this BART dog would take meat away from a bear and that he wouldn’t even roll a dog into that BART dog. Don ask me at the time what I thought about it and I told him it wouldn’t be a problem as I tried to hurt GENERAL with all I had but I couldn’t. This fight was much talked about just like the Tyson-Spinks fight, dogmen came from all over the country just to see this one. GENERAL killed BART in 52 minutes and then after the fight he was stolen. I got a letter from Roland Fontenot with some pictures of GENERAL and in the letter he said that he knew the fight was over in seven minutes, because he had broken both shoulders on BART and later on in the fight he literally took off BART’s leg. GENERAL was a freak of nature, he would eat a dog, literally rip them apart and start eating them. He was so aggressive that he wouldn’t even breed a Bitch. One time while Don went to town to do some shopping, a Bitch that was in Heat got loose off the chain and ran up to GENERAL. He killed her while she was in full blossom. Jimmy Wimberly found the Bitch and he told me he saw how GENERAL was standing over her and just tearing her muscles out of her. I know now who stole GENERAL and several told me this was true, but I don’t want to tell who it was because it would do no good now.

Was it an Oklahoma or Texas dogman? I really don’t want to say anything about this because you could pinpoint it. It’s out of respect that I don’t want to bring this out in the open. But the thing is, that GENERAL was a double bred NIGGER dog, and this, plus the fact that NIGGER never quit, makes me believe he was a good individual plus a hell of a producer!

Yeah I read this back in the 80's when Danny gave a interview with the Times.The one thing that really gets me is when someone says "Its out of respect that I don't want to say who stole him".Respect for a dog thief,that is a joke to me.If u know, say so if not don't bring it up.To me guys that know someone steals dogs, and doesn't put it out there for everyone in the dog game to know is just as dirty.These so called greats really polluted the bloodlines.They all lied switched, papers,and did many other underhanded crap.Someone said it best test your own breed the best of them and don't be pedigree blind.

.Can u imagine breeding your dogs for 10,20 years to get a dog like Art,General,and Bolio just to have them stolen by some piece of shit.They stole each others dogs and stealing the General was a payback.Look at Giroux someone stole his dog and he went right to the slime ball and put a couple of.38 slugs in him.

 

i don't think art was stolen. my guess is he was taken back by S & G associates lol.
