    That is what is scary - they would be happy to eliminate the breed(s) altogether.

    On the flipside - isn't it only possible to verify that two animals are siblings or offspring of certain parents? They can't even accurately determine the breed makeup of mutts, so there is no way in hell they can tell what "line" a dog is from. I think what they are after is just being able to prove that so-and-so#1 bought and bred several dogs from/with so-and-so#2.
