Are there different levels of gameness:confused: If a dog can work 1hr straight but wont finish, is he on a different level than a dog that can work for 30min. straight but can finish:rolleyes:

Too many variables in a hunt to measure gameness but I do believe there are degrees to GAMENESS...and that every dog has a certain amount! Fatigue is the #1 cause of dogs quitting....they will stop stop from fatigue way before any pain!

Gameness imo is a desire to fight rather on the top or the bottom, a game dog will have a certain spark to him. He remains confident and eager to get to get out the corner and dish out some punishment, but only under good conditioning. If u have a game dog that gases out don't blame the dog look in the mirror because obviously u dont know sh*t about conditioning a dog.

true, fatigue will find the cur quicker than anything...there is no differing levels of gameness...game is game...not game is not game...if 'they stop' they are not game....if 'they are stopped' there is a difference....if he stands on all fours and looks around...that is a cur regardless of breeding, handling and especially conditioning...straight cur....if he looks across, leans forward and falls and can't go, he has been 'stopped'....being 'stopped' by another could be from being outclassed or improperly conditioned....neither of which would be a degree of gameness...s
