Don't know if anyone else learned anything from this, but I did. Most of our dogs will play tugawar with each other but we have a couple that wont, I have tried just about everything, Havent tried the noise thing tho. Thanks for the post Rocky.

Yet, each and every day, regardless of weather or temperature, my boy will get AT LEAST 1 hour of quality walk. By the way, he is 6 years old. I recognize that I would only have enough time for 1 or 2 additional dogs in my life at this time. Again, from your posts, I doubt your life is any easier. Think about it and do the right thing.

Now for explanation on my suggested items:

Ankle weights- please view attachments for your reference. Note: whenever a dog is carrying weight on his neck use a harness for the leash. If the weight is on his back, use a collar for his leash. Using this method will work the dog more in the same amount of time/length.

Bike- Allow it to pull you for a specific amount of time/length. If the time does not seem sufficient for it to start breathing "hard" in the session, gently use the bike brakes for resistance.

Water hose or Washer drain-hose- You may use this method if you are able to make your yard dogs pull against each other. If so, water hose is best for this. Otherwise, you or a family member can play with your dog(s) individually while using the drain hose. The hose I am referencing may be bought at Home Depot for $12. Grab one side and allow the dog to pull from the other. If the dog seems confused or unwilling to try it, place your mouth over your end's opening and make high pitch noise (while making sure only the dog's side is transmitting). This will make the dog go nuts and will awake their "prey drive". Feel free to tug, pull, etc as long as you wish.

RC Car- I will admit not to have used this method but have heard it brings great results in your area of concern (boredom). You must first learn to control the damn thing otherwise it will be destroyed in short order. NOTE: before using this method the dog must be enclosed in your yard or other space wide enough for it to run around chasing the car.

I hope this help you and anyone else in need of ideas. Lastly, "do not chew on more than you can handle."

However, comunication and articulating ones self is a developed skill. There has been several times that "I" could have used a better word or refraised a question or response.

So as far as Jeepdog being honest, I don't think this was dishonest...lol...I think the origanal Question could have been worded better.

It was to me that jeepdog was comeing with a double mind. What i mean is the way he/hse replyed to some was that jeepdog wanted a answer but wanted to test the minds of another. Mine is not verey smart but i would say 99% of the pepole that replyed knows. I agree that we all should word our Q's as detailed as we can so we can get the best answer possible. If not it would be like puting a puzzle on the table knowing what the picture is but not haveing all the pieces. I hope this dosen't sound like bashing because it isn't intended to be. I think that we all should at least try the sugestions befor haveing a negitve reply. there have been some replies i've got that seemed kined of harsh but i figured they knowed and i could at least try it.
