Pit Bull hater's own LABRADOR vicious - Sioux City, Iowa

    [IMG]by CHAKO » Wed Jul 01, 2009 10:53 pm
Councilman Aaron Rochester of Sioux City, Iowa led a drive to ban Pit Bulls from his city. In a case of twisted irony, his Rochester's very own Labrador Retriever attacked a neighbor, sending him to the Emergency Room. The city declared the Labrador Retriever vicious. Rochester doesn't think he or his dog should be held accountable for the attack, at least not in the same manner other people and other dogs are held accountable. He has appealed the decision.

Rochester didn't even report the bite. Rather, the hospital where the victim was treated reported the bite to police, in accordance with its standard practice.

Pit bull owner Amanda Gardner opposed Rochester's ordinance and had the following to say when asked about Aaron Rochester and his "vicious" dog: "I don't wish any dog to be put down, but how many little kids have cried because their pit bulls have been banned from the city or euthanized? In Aaron's words, a bite's a bite."
