Magazine

Good morning,
I am currently embarking a huge business venture. Some of you know me as XxKonnectionsxX and some of you don't know me at all. I am currently working with a very select group of people to create a magazine for people in the Texas area. We are going to dedicate a whole section to the America Pitbull Terrier. We we have a lot of different positive stories about the breed. There will also be live footage of certain dog trainers and maybe even the world famous dogman from Mexico. I am currently wanting to team up with anyone in Texas who would like to be a part of this. Even if you are not from Texas and you feel you can contribute something, please let me know. Currently this magazine will start out in Dallas and then we will very quickly branch out and start targeting otherr major cities with this magazine. I am wanting to start a small game-dog club in Dallas as well to help with promotion for the (game-dog section of the magazine). Any and everyone who is interested please contact us.

The reason why I wanted to include this section in my magazine is because I and a ton of others are sick and tired of people stereotyping a person or race for the damage that has been done to the breed....blah blah blah...yackity yackity yackity...In reality if those people do like to point fingers, then they should point fingers at the original creators of the breed who let the dogs get into the wrong hands. The very people who complain of this are the same ones starving Fido in the back yard. You had me on board until I read the 2nd part, I took offense to that. You are blaming Game fanciers for the breeds neg. image? Think again Sir. Until the mid 80's and early 90's pits were loved by all because of what they were. When ppl mixed pits with other breeds then you started hearing about attacks on ppl. The liberals are the ones to blame because they are the ones who made this happen. They are responsible for the deaths of people by "this breed." NOT and I repeat NOT GAME fanciers.

 

Could you define "the liberals" for me, please.

 

Liberals are those that continue to vote for change in the system. Thinking they are doing good when in actuality they vote more of our rights away. PETA, AR, and many other something rights organizations ruin a way of life for others. Once again thinking they are doing something good. At least in their own deprivated minds. They are the same ones that think a dog on a chain is evil, or a treadmill is something it isn't. They are easily influenced by the media and often become sheeple. Often found in gatherings protesting one thing or another neglecting the rights of another person to get some point that they feel is valid yet isn't. Ones that don't hold old values in high regard. Often confused with a sense of liberation. Yet only leading to the condemnation of the rights of another. In the realm of these dogs they are the ones lobbying to restrict our rights thinking they are protecting the rights of an animal. Animals don't vote therefore have no rights. They put human characteristics to animals and call it Humaine. An odd trend that is very harmful to animal kind. It is a mindset not a political venture. It is a way of life for those that desire some altered sense of life and feel it should be forces on all. They tend to gravitate towards socialism. The opposite of a democracy, a system of freedoms. Therefore increasing restrictions upon others. Unknowingly (speculative) theiving from the rest of us our ways of life. Mostly a contridiction to what they want you to believe. A basic enemy to our breed and animal husbandry in general. Blind leading the blind more or less.

In a nut shell. those that take away the heritage and working sense of a dog or any other creature, thing or way of life. The enemy to us and our dogs.

That is the way I see it. other can add to that. And of course the liberals will attempt to bash and take away from it. What was that new term/ ahh yes Haters.

Well looks like you took a deep offense to this.. Hmmm......you know what they say..Some times the truth hurts. Hey if you are not on board...no big deal dude or woman or whover you are. Look I'm just trying to expose the breed for what they are. Intelligent, Good, loving, working dogs, and thats what they should be viewed as. As I said before SOME of the game fanciers from back in the day are the reason why some of these dogs got into the WRONG HANDS..and in turn those people are to blame for not taking care of the breed the way it should have been. So in a nut shell I believe I was correct with my first post. Its just vicious cycle that still happens today, so don't pretend it does not exist. In all honesty a lot of people are to blame and instead of just pointing fingers (like some tend to ALWAYS DO), I just wanted to come up with another way to provide information to educate. Trust me I won't lose sleep if you're not "down" with what I am trying to do. :-) When I or should I say my partner and I get these magazines published world wide, like XXL, Smooth, Maxxim, Source, Vibe, and a plethora of others, wouldn't it make sense to get into the minds of people who read these books and to educate them. Think of the possible conventions that could be held, by people who read these magazines and want to support the breed...These conventions could bring major money in actually helping people in trouble who are honest dogmen or dogwomen and catch some heat...(u know what I mean) So Man/woman put your negative shoes back in a box and get you a pair of positive socks....cuz people with your mentality only sit back and pick out one small thing they don't like and then its like F it all.... tsk tsk..change your thinking...and don't be such a negative ned and quick to jump off like you did...

I figure, why not come to the source of knowledgable people. My whole theme is give back to the community right..so that is why I came here. Is this not a community? I've been a member for some years, so I feel that I can get someone from the community to help. Even though there are about a billion politics that have been ENFORCED....but we'll see :-).. what demographic you trying to hit with your current endeavour? the mags you listed seem to be only hitting one specific target audience.

 

So you are trying to make money huh? Just like the all of the other idiots in this world trying to make a dollar off of a dog.
And to this TYPE of public...where exactly do you think this will get us? Where do you think it will get our dogs?
What you will make money because these type of people will buy the mag because they think APBT's or better yet "MY PIT" is cool? and hardcore?
Most of people who are dogmen/dogwomen don't read this type of garbarge.
Maybe you should promote poodles or something, but then you might have to change your Mag. line because the folks that read those, don't like poodles! They are not able to fight and show off a poodle.

This really makes me wonder:
Are you for our breed? Or are you against them?
Because it really seems as though you are very much against them.
Why not just publish a regular American Pit Bull Mag. that will fully promote the breed as a whole and show the great qualities they have to offer!?
If you are looking for money, at least when these sell, you could sleep easier and more peaceful at night, knowing it is HONEST and CLEAN.

This debate is really starting to get silly. Its an innovative idea to reach certain people by using certain marketing tools. MARKETING is what makes everything in this world go round. New marketing techniques are what works. If we keep following the same old trends, then what progress is there to make?

You say that I am only talking about targeting one area of demographics and blah blah blah... Those magazines were used as an example. Nothing written in stone. You will be surprised what dogmen or PEOPLE read. For you to sit there and say most dogmen do not read that type of stuff, then you are WRONG. I am NOT trying to TARGET OLD DOG MEN with this information.....If our future lies in the hands of the next generation then why not keep focusing up giving them the information and finding great ways to connect with them through their media... You make the remark about money and blah blah blah..Yeah you can sit there and talk about how this and that is just like everyone else, but I KNOW IT IS NOT. Who in the world would NOT like to make money...I mean really. I aint rich so its not like I'm just gonna do everything in life for free so I can just educate and educate..lol I gotta eat and live to bro.. But getting back to my point...I'm not sure if you are thinking that I am going to be getting together with people to have hip hop, cool, look at my pitbull convention...WRONG...The magazine is about EDUCATION..so we give them EDUCATION on whats really what with these dogs and how people interact with them everyday. It will show how these working dogs make or have made lives easier for different people in different ways. You hit something about making a mag STRICTLY about the breed. That is PART OF THE IDEA...you just exposed it a little.


The idea I presented is NOT set in stone... The reason for me posting it was to see what people thought. So far I have not really gotten too many educated responses other than yours and maybe one other person. Thats what I'm looking for. Challenge me in a positive way and NOT KNOCK whats trying to be accomplished. If the ultimate goal is to educate people, then why not target these very people that you claim are RUINING the breed.

I think you may be getting my words mixed up. So I'll put it like this. SOME of the OLD TIMERS are the ones who got it in the wrong hands..(no need in educating them..right?) so if the newer generation are the ones who are messing up something, then why not educate them properly? Why not use the main sources that our youth use and plug information in there to reach out to them? I just see it for that idea. I understand your concern about "ruining the breed's image and blah blah blah..." WHY such a HUGE concern on that when it is ALL READY RUINED....HAHAHA right? So what we try to accomplish is trying to figure out ways to market to the very people that are ruining the breed. You're obviously going to control the content of it, so why worry about breed image. I don't worry about hurting their image. How we represent and how we present the information to people is key. STOP focusing on what damage it may cause to our breed..You stay focused there and you will never do your part to help, because you are too scared to act on anything.... TOO SCARED to take a chance to make a change...Thats all it takes. Do not always be so skeptical. To me its better than what a lot of others are out there doing to help the breed. Don't get me wrong, I have love for the people that are truly out there for the breed and want to see it prosper, but there are far TOOO MANY FAKES out there claiming this and that. You say I am against them, when I've only said that I would like to help support the GOOD in them. You see....just the thought of making a public issue out of them obviously scares you to death. It really does something to you I guess to make you feel that way. Just because someone wants to really make a huge move to help the breed in some kind of way does NOT mean that they are wanting bad things for the breed. The people that will be promoting and creating either the full magazine for the breed or the articles, will be KNOWLEDGABLE people out there that have been around the breed for YEARS. These will be highly experieneced people. Its funny that you say I am trying to portray a negative image, but I am not. You say that NO dogmen read those types of magazines, but you are WRONG....lol To be thats very very hmmm.......closed minded if you will...The majority of our culture today revolves around ENTERTAINMENT...So if you plug into those sources....VIOLA!!!! I have MAJOR dogmen that are with me on this and its ODD that you seem so negative about it and being stuck on the fact that I am not for the breed and want to JUST make money..... If you had a possibility to make money, wouldn't you? LOL.. I have about a billion other plans in play for making money so by no means am I trying to USE OUR BREED TO REAP PROFITS....lol... :-) Good luck with that mind set. I'm tired...

Take this site for instance...If all the people that were "SERIOUS" about the breed, then why are these very people who always want to COMPLAIN, WHINE, and CRY about what our breed is coming to never really step it up. You gotta step up the game plan. SHON AND MARTY get with me on that I have a brilliant idea for you and I will put you on to someone that WILL HELP YOU GROW... This site is meant to help people UNDERSTAND our BREED, but why keep it as just a forum. Yeah..people join everyday, but how many people do you hear about from this site, or how many postings from people on this site are about coming together to make ONE HUGE MOVEMENT? NONE...well I have seen a couple, but no one else. Eveyone else just likes to sit back and dictate and throw there politics about this and that and what they don't like to see. Stop sitting back and looking and actually start acting as (moderators/business managers) and really do something to make GAME-DOG and its "Community" (which is the whole concept) into a site or live movement that people are really going to take notice to. As long as we sit back behind these screens and type on these key boards about how our breed is being ruined and all that jaz, then how in the hell can we expect to change anything if no one is getting up to act on it? I think not. We can not do a damn thing(excuse my french) I'm just trying to reach people and if SHON and MARTY would like to get together to create a plan, then we can all give back to the people and EVERYONE who joins this community(which will need some serious moderators) can REAP SOME TYPE OF BENEFIT. I feel like the Lord put me here to say this stuff to you guys, and you can either think I am a crook or start viewing what I'm trying to accomplish as a way to save the breed, or at least try pulling them back into the positive eyes of the community and the positive eyes of our world we live in. You are either with it or you're not. I just wanted to see what kind of feedback I would get from some of the people on this site. I'm not AT ALL SHOCKED about the negativity I would receive. Its to be expected. HIT ME UP IF YOU ARE SERIOUS. I'm always looking for SERIOUS, DEDICATED business partners and more investors who are willing to see our breed go for a positive change, and are willing to get out there and make it happen. This is NOT THE ONLY PLAN TO succeed in this. The rest comes from involving the PEOPLE of this GAME-DOG community. When we can STOP shutting down each other's ideas, then only then can GAME-DOG.com really start to make a positive movement to help our breed.

Wow those are some top of the line magazines there.. I can see it now..! Will there be a classifieds section in the back where we can peddle our $1200 rare blue pitts with the massive heads and wide bodies tipping the scales around 100lbs?

 

Can I just read a rough copy or something? That is the best way to figure this out. So I can picture it as what it is to be. This debate is very difficult to keep focused on.

Unless you would like to read these magazines or even have half of the filth in your home, you probably will never get to see the articles.

 

The problem I see with this, is the people that buy this crap, are not buying for educational purposes.
I mean ok, we need to teach people how to do math and learn to read so we would do it these magazines? I dont think so!

So, you are telling all of us that when we educate various people here and there, we attend our shows, fight BSL, send our letters, make our phone calls, sign our petitions, parade up and down the street telling the whole world about this breed and so on, that we are doing NOTHING TO HELP OUR BREED, but placing "PIT BULL" ads in these magazines IS? God help you....

Please do not throw SHON AND MARTY's name into this, or anybody else's. If you feel the need to have somebody back you up on something you are getting bashed out from quite a few people, then something must be wrong. As far everybody getting together to help prompte the breed, there were a few including me that WERE going to until some your lines made GOOD people sound bad and then you put the icing on the cake with THESE magazines.
I believe that MOST everyone in this community would contribute, with-out expecting to make any money on this idea (as long as it was felt as though it would HELP the breeds reputation)
But you see if I have a bad reputation of being a whore, you are saying that I would get better looked at and could educate people in a PLAYBOY magazine, because thats what everybody reads. Well then...I MUST be from the stone ages.......

You wanted answers and thoughts, and these are mine, you will not change my mind throwing someone elses name in my face. If this is what you wanted, you are getting just that.
These are my thoughts on this subject. They will not budge.
I am all for promoting the breed, but notlike this. I think it could be done in a different manner.
What about magazines like H&G.......you know a lot of people that throw wild claims about our dogs could use a little education as well.

It seems like your goal is to educate on how to handle this breed for the future, which is not a bad thing..........BUT
If we do not stop the BS that is going on right now there will be NO FUTURE for this breed, I think the focus needs to start there. Not getting the younger generations prepared for them.....if this continues there will no longer be an APBT that the younger generations can handle and take care of.

 

I don't think those magazines are generated for me. I fail to see the connection to APBT or dogs in general. What am I missing here? I don't see any way to tie those magazines into something to do with our dogs that would be useful to all of us and a benefit to the breed. Help me out with this concept because I am surely missing the boat. I am trying to stay objective here as I would love to see a good magazine hit the press that helps us.

I dont think very many people have found the tie that bonds the two......
