Tyson is a 13 month old red nose pit bull mix. He was taken in by a wonderful family when they found him emaciated and living in a crate covered with feces. Despite his rough start Tyson is a good dog.. He does well with the children he lives with who are 7, 5, and 16 month old and gets along with the two other dogs that also live in his rescuers home. He is housebroken, and up to date on his vaccinations. Tyson loves to play tug-of-war and he is crate trained and sleeps in a crate at night. He is not food or resource aggressive but does need to learn not to steal food from the table! So he would benefit from some training. Tyson loves to play and deserves a good home that can shower him with love, attention and the proper home environment. Tyson is somewhat timid of strangers and will bark and back away from them if they try to pet or approach him. But given proper introduction he immediately warms up to people. Tyson would be best in a home with children over six years old because of his size. He would do well in a home with another dog (preferably a female) and with an owner who knows and loves this misunderstood breed.
